Alex Jones's first Sandy Hook defamation trial is back for another day of crazy in Texas. Infowars host Owen Shroyer is back on the stand being questioned by defense attorney Andino Reynal.
And here's the YouTube if you want to watch it yourself.
Shroyer claims to take ten hours preparing the show.
Reminder: Yesterday he claimed that someone handed him the story claiming that the coroner in Sandy Hook never gave parents back their children's bodies while he was on air and didn't have time to check it.
Tuned into the livestream of the Alex Jones trial, just in time to see his producer say that it's very hard for her boss because people tell lies about him and it stresses him out.
Lawyer for Sandy Hook plaintiffs: Do you know how insane that sounds in this courtroom today?
Plaintiffs' atty manages to get judge to let him play video of Megyn Kelly interviewing Trump, interspersed with video of Jones calling the victims of the bombing in Manchester at an Ariana Grande concert "liberals and trendies."
Megyn Kelly interviews the plaintiff Neil Heslin about holding his dead child, then excoriates Jones for calling the shooting "fake."
Jones: I was just going devil's advocate.
Kelly: What happened to the children?
Jones: I watched the videos, it looks like a drill.
Eastman: Can't give you those emails, they're privileged comms with a potential client.
J6C: We spoke to the sender. They said they were never a potential client, just contacted Eastman to tell him he was an idiot. storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.usco…
The Committee already got the documents from the "potential client" anyway. Which rather undercuts the theory that they're privileged and Eastman has a duty to protect them.
Here's Doug Letter trying not to stroke out over Eastman's claim that certifying the electoral count is an "adjudicative act" and thus trying to ratf*ck it is work product in anticipation of litigation.
Today Mike Lindell and Steve Bannon plotted to sic their followers on the judge that "set $500K cash bail" for Tina Peters, the CO election clerk who destroyed voting machines in an effort to prove the election was stolen.
The arraignment is tomorrow morning. Maybe she'll get bail, maybe not, who knows.
But while Lindell and Bannon were railing about the injustice of it all, they seem to have left out one or two minor details.
Not for nothing, but the conduct alleged in the indictment is NUTS. There's a reason they charged Peters with criminal impersonation and identify theft, and it's not because she's such a patriot. lede-admin.coloradosun.com/wp-content/upl…
Prepping for Trump lawyer John Eastman's hearing in half an hour, reading his latest batcrap filing. Turns out he only attempted an electoral coup "to protect the democratic process." So, it's cool, right? storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.usco…
You can listen to this morning's hearing re a privilege dispute over emails held by Eastman's former employer Chapman University, here: cacd-uscourts.zoomgov.com/j/1618147150?p…
I may livetweet if it's interesting. Judge David Carter has thus far given Eastman's arguments a chilly reception. We'll see if the government's claim that the crime-fraud exception abrogates attorney-client privilege is a bridge too far for the court.
Trump's "real" attorney Ron Fischetti just took a page from his client and lost his shit, screaming that the AG can't force Trump to testify or take the Fifth, as the law provides, because that would be too embarrassing.
Alina Habba is up to make her stupid argument about selective prosecution.
FTR, no one is being prosecuted. This is an investigation.
"If you and I behaved the way she) behaved ..." is a weird argument to make if your client is Donald Trump.
