Earning @PPAdvocatesPA's endorsement in this critical moment is an incredible honor. The first time I walked into Planned Parenthood, I was 16 years old. I’ve continued to turn to them during times in my life when I was uninsured and in need of healthcare I could trust. 🧵
For the past two election cycles, my opponent was able to use his carefully crafted persona as a “moderate Republican” to earn this endorsement. This year, without the protections of Roe, the risk is too great.
After his June 2021 vote in favor of HB1095 – the Fetal Homicide Bill calling for *mandatory life imprisonment* for abortion care providers and their patients in PA – Todd’s stance on choice became all too clear.
This year, Planned Parenthood knows there is too much on the line to trust someone who *might* not vote to strip pregnant people of the freedom to control their own bodies, protect their own health, or build the families they want.
Being represented by a “moderate Republican” who talks out of both sides of his mouth – and leaves his constituency to wonder who he really is and where he really stands – is no longer an option. We must demand representation that we can trust.
It’s time for a representative who will unapologetically stand for choice, who will advocate for policies and legislation that will empower women, who will never back down from a chance to remind our leaders that #AbortionIsHealthcare and #WeWontGoBack.
I have trusted Planned Parenthood to care for me since the day I started making my own healthcare decisions. I am so proud to have earned their trust in return, and I promise I will continue to do all I can to earn yours. #Missy4PA#Flipthe151
