If i fail to deliver projects to my clients within deadline I will face hefty consequences.
If politicians fail at their job, nothing. This is unfair.
There should be ways to fire representatives for incompetence and have to work their way back from lower posts. (1/n)
If they manage to get reelected but fail even at the level below they should get fired again to be limited to level below and so on, (2/n)
until they fail their way downwards to the lowest possible elected role after which getting fired at that level bars them from contesting for 2 terms. The number of terms barred should double every re-election they fail to perform. (3/n)
Suppose they manage to meet the goals at level 1, then next election cycle they will qualify to be able to contest for a post a level above current, this way they can succeed their way upwards, if they fail, downward movement. (4/n)
I think this is one of the best ways to handle politics in a country like India, as politicians can't get away by just distracting people with devisive politics. They still can, but they still have to meet their targets else they lose power no matter what. (5/n)
Adding to this, we can use block chain technology in our voting system to keep it transparent and validate votes securely and also enable immigrants to participate in their electoral district remotely instead of mail in ballots. (6/n)
Instead of creating useless shitcoins, we can use block chain for better purposes like this that actually improve quality of life for people and increases efficiency of the electoral process (7/n)
If every one from pakoda seller to rocket scientist are required to perform well at their job, find ways to be efficient and should duly meet professional targets, then the principle should apply to elected representatives too. (8/n)
Of course this is in no way the "perfect" plan, but a starting point for a conversation in the right direction in my opinion. Please feel free to add to the to topic. (9/9)
