1. PINTEREST! Honestly, if you want to see which brands are running ads, search for your niche on Pinterest i.e “beauty”, then click shop. All the brands on this page ARE running ads. You can check out their website for contact details & social media platform. I do this often :)
2. INSTAGRAM STORIES! Okay, so every few stories, there will be an ad tailored towards you. Make note of the brands you see, they’re running ads, so contact them! You are their target audience, make the most of it!
3. TIKTOK. I know it sounds obvious, but I don’t think many people do this. Whenever you’re on TikTok and see a paid collab vid, or even just an ad, reach out to that brand! They’re paying creators so they have a budget.
Once you’ve found the brands, try to find an email first! It will have a better chance of being read compared to a DM. Look on their website for marketing / collab emails. If you can’t find one, send it to an email that isn’t a customer service email - you don’t want it to 1/?
Get lost. Find an email that’s like “info@holsocials.com” then put at the top of the email “please forward to the correct team.” This way, the person who reads it can navigate it.
If you’re struggling to find emails for smaller businesses, then head to DM them 2/?
Smaller accounts are more likely to answer your DM and pass over an email address for you to pitch to.
Larger accounts tend not to respond to DMs, which I’ve noticed myself, so always look for an email!
