The USCCB has asked us to fast and pray with special intentions for the Rosary. (Originally for May 13th, but I’m keeping it in our Rosary & the one on my blog, too).
In the Name of the Father,
and of the Son,
and of the Holy Spirit.
Amen.
Behold, He makes all things new!
Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us!
Some prayer intentions
- For friends of the #RosaryProject, our Twitter family, & patrons of my blog. Thank you! I cannot tell you how much you mean to me and how much your support is appreciated. You are always in my prayers.
- For all who are ill and lonely, all who have asked for prayers, all in need but have not asked, all who suffer in silence, all who feel abandoned.
- For @Ectobass M. Czechowski’s father & sister. Both are dealing with cancer although neither has spread. Thank you in advance!! St Peregrine & Servant of God Mother Maria Lange, hear our prayers!
- For his father-in-law, Felicia C and John L who are also battling cancer. St Peregrine hear our prayers and carry them quickly to our Lord. (Also from @Ectobass M. Czechowski)
- For @Ken47188750 Son Of Sobieski’s Uncle Joe who passed away the night of June 23. Pray also for his Aunt Eileen, cousins, & their children. Thank You and God Bless you!
- For the peaceful repose of the soul of Elizabeth Madeleine Perrin (neé Toth). (Ken’s mother)
Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May her soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
- For my best friend Cindy’s mother who passed away Sunday, July 24, early in the morning. Though she had been very ill we were still shocked. Your prayers for Mrs. M (and the rest of the family) are appreciated.
- For @CatholicLisa, experiencing serious health issues, & also that her beloved dawg King will find a loving home, and, Lord, heal their hearts. 💔🙏🏻
- For Fr. S. A., who reached out to me via the blog & asked me and my group for a 54 day rosary novena for his intentions. Well, the only group I have is y’all blog readers and Twitter tweeters, so if you want to join me in doing that, please do.
- For James: Please keep him, and all children who suffer from serious illness or disease, in your prayers.
- For all having serious health problems.
- For all dealing with cancer, treatments, & finances.
- For all seeking new directions in life, & for those having family problems.
- For my sister and her family, all having health issues, some better now, some worse.
- For so many who have asked for prayers or mentioned illnesses, etc., I can't possibly list them all. The Lord knows who they are. We offer prayers for those souls and leave it in the Lord's hands.
- For the conversion of the leaders of Russia and China, and all communist countries.
- For all people everywhere, especially Ukraine, caught in war-torn countries: may their fear and suffering soon give way to the peace and joy of the Lord.
In thanksgiving for the decision by our Supreme Court to overturn the unconstitutional decision of so many years ago that led to millions of lives lost, hearts broken, consciences darkened, and souls crushed. And help us now to cultivate a civilization of Life and Love. Amen!
The Rosary proper begins now!
You are invited to add your intentions anywhere along the thread if you are moved to do so.
God bless you.
In the Name of the Father,
and of the Son,
and of the Holy Spirit.
Amen.
Behold, He makes all things new!
Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us!
Queen of the Most Holy Rosary, you have deigned to come to Fatima to reveal to the three shepherd children there the treasures of grace hidden…
(There’s a place in this prayer for your personal prayer intention.)
(For those who don’t believe, we pray…)
I believe in God,
the Father almighty,
creator of heaven and earth.
And in Jesus Christ,
His only Son, our Lord…
For the Holy Father
Our Father Who art in heaven
Hallowed be Thy Name
Thy kingdom come
Thy will be done
on earth as it is in heaven
Give us this day our daily bread
and forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those who trespass against us…
For an increase of Faith, Hope, & Charity in our souls & our world
Hail Mary, full of grace.
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women
& blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus…. (3x)
(Glory be, here and at the end of each decade.)
Glory be to the Father,
and to the Son,
and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning,
is now, and ever shall be,
world without end. Amen.
We’ll be using some special intentions from the USCCB. These are optional (and they’re similar to the ones we were using from Pope St. John Paul II).
Hail, Holy Queen, Mother of Mercy, Hail, our life, our sweetness, & our hope. To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve. To thee do we send up our sighs, mourning & weeping in this valley of tears…
Optional Closing Prayers
Let us pray: O God…
Optional Closing Prayers
Saint Michael the Archangel,
defend us in battle; be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray: and do thou, O Prince of the heavenly host…
Optional Closing Prayers
O Angel of God, my Guardian dear,
to whom God's love commits me here.
Ever this night be at my side,
to light, to guard, to rule, and to guide.
Amen.
Optional Closing Prayers
Eternal Father, I offer Thee the Most Precious Blood Of Thy Divine Son, Jesus, in union with the Masses said throughout the world today, for all the holy souls in Purgatory, sinners everywhere, in the Universal Church, within my own home…
(Optional Closing Prayers)
A Prayer for Protection in Time of Pandemic
O Mary, you always brighten our path as a sign of salvation and of hope…
The USCCB asked the faithful to add this prayer after the Rosary (by Pope Leo XIII) during the Year of St. Joseph. I’m keeping it here in our Rosary. 🙏🏻
Prayer of Command, from Fr. Ripperger, from Deliverance Prayers:
Optional Closing Prayers
May the Divine Assistance remain always with us, and may the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
In the Name of the Father,
and of the Son,
and of the Holy Spirit.
Amen.
Behold, He makes all things new!
Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us!
Thank you for praying the Rosary with me. I pray that you will stay safe & well, virtuous & holy during this time of turmoil in our country and our world. May His peace be always with you. +JMJ+

Prayer of abandonment, by St. Charles de Foucauld.
Father, I abandon myself into your hands; do with me what you will. Whatever you may do, I thank you: I am ready for all, I accept all. Let only your will be done in me...
Re the previous tweet: I know it's not his feast day but I was just reading about him after stumbling across the GoodCatholic site and thought I'd share with y'all.
Also don't miss this one on their YouTube channel. It's a painting I've seen many times online but I've never read or heard an explanation of it that I recall. This one had me in tears.
A 🧵from “How to Get More Out of Holy Communion,” by St Peter Julian Eymard. Links at the end.
“The love of Jesus Christ reaches its highest perfection and produces the richest harvest of graces in the ineffable union He contracts with the soul in Holy Communion.”
“Therefore, by every desire for goodness, holiness, and perfection that piety, the virtues, and love can inspire in us, we are bound to direct our course toward this union, toward frequent and even daily Communion.”
“Since we have in Holy Communion the grace, the model, and the practice of all the virtues, all of them finding their exercise in this divine action, we shall profit more by Communion than by all other means of sanctification.”
