#OkadaBan UPDATE: The Lagos State Taskforce @Taskforce112 has continued its enforcement of the ban on commercial motorcyclists (Okada) that ply restricted highways, particularly in the 6 LGAs and 9 LCDAs across the State.
Speaking on the exercise which took place in Agege/Fagba, Apapa and Ajah, CSP Jejeloye, described the activities of the recalcitrant okada riders as rebellious and vowed to ensure those who continue to disregard the ban would have their bikes confiscated and crushed by the State
Jejeloye further stated that 322 bikes have been seized since the commencement of the week-long raid in the aforementioned areas of the State, assuring citizens that more will be done until the State’s vision of maintaining safety and sanity on Lagos roads is actualised.

The Lagos Waste Management Authority (@Lawma_gov) has commenced clearing the backlog of waste around the city, largely through massive night operations between the hours of 10 pm and 4 am.
The Managing Director/CEO of the Authority, Mr. Ibrahim Odumboni @IOdumboni, disclosed this while speaking on efforts of the Agency to clear waste indiscriminately dumped at some unauthorised locations by residents across the State.

[HISTORY]: Lagos started enrollment of its residents for residency registration in 2011 to create a reliable database to enable effective and realistic planning by the State Government, especially for the provision of social services and amenities.
