The year was 2015. One day, totally by accident, I came across a WWI memorial obelisk near Islamabad. People who know me will vouch how excited I get. Today, my dad and I planned a quick road trip. We decided the destination, the road rather as we stepped out the door…
As we came to an understanding, I took out my phone and quickly had a look. To my delight, I saw that there were more WWI memorials sprinkled around this area. We were headed to karor, near Islamabad. There weren’t many people on this narrow and winding road
The air was fragrant, the birds sang and there was silence. Such beautiful silence. #sundaystory
At one point, I saw a signboard for the forest rest house and took a sharp turn towards an even narrower road. We landed at the forest rest house Chawan. I assumed it would have dated back to the 1920s or 30s. I missed by around 30-40 years. It was constructed in 1888.
We rested there for a few minutes and then carried on. Eventually it so happened that, I did not come across the memorials, and I did not go looking. My dad can’t hike up and down hillsides now. So there is that… but as we kept going, we knew we wouldn’t return from this route
But it was a day well spent!

Todays work emergency: missing bunny. Doors and windows closed. CCTV footage being watched for clues
Happy to update that the bunny rescue was successful. He escaped between 6 and 7 am as per record. Then roamed around on the ground floor till around 9 am, when we lost track of his movements
Then after triangulating footage from the basement cams, it was deduced that he went up the stairs. But couldn’t be seen anywhere. Eventually at around 11.20, we found him on the rooftop after about 4.5 hours of his escape.
