Citing Obama and Pelosi "deepfake" videos made with "widely available and insidious" artificial intelligence technology, a lawyer for Jan. 6 defendant Josh Doolin has told the court they will not stipulate that open-source Capitol attack videos cited by the prosecution are legit.
"the Government submitted its motion in limine seeking to authenticate video evidence derived from YouTube. The Defense refuses to stipulate the authenticity of any footage..." storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.usco…
One of the specific videos in question here is what the the government calls the "FORMERWAGIE Video," a very high-quality, 3+ hour long video that was originally posted on a racist website
That 4K video has been tremendously valuable in Jan. 6 cases.
...including in identifying the MAGA-hatted Trump enthusiast who drove a stun gun into the neck of Mike Fanone on Jan. 6. From Feb. 2021: huffpost.com/entry/fanone-t…
To authenticate the open-source YouTube video, the feds say they'd match it up with CCTV and body camera footage.
Here's their example, featuring #fingerman (arrested) and #baldeagle (not arrested).

NEW: Case against Jan. 6 defendant James Robinson unsealed. Feds say the Pennsylvanian grabbed a velvet rope and fist pumped in the rotunda.
"ROBINSON secures a velvet rope, normally used to block people from unauthorized areas in the Capital and walks around carrying the rope." documentcloud.org/documents/2212…

“I’ll have to consult my attorney before post anything more…lol."
DOJ seeks 30 days for Jan. 6 defendant John Cameron.
DOJ says Cameron is a reply guy who is "broadcasting and celebrating his status as 'a J6 defendant' or 'political prisoner' and using it as an opportunity to raise money."
Jan. 6 lawyer / Tucker Carlson favorite Joseph McBride -- who told me he doesn't "give a shit about being wrong" -- is appearing before Judge Trevor McFadden, asking for a delay in the Christopher Quaglin trial.
Joseph McBride said in a filing that he has not yet fully recovered from his May 2022 COVID case, and also he has Lyme disease.
Also has some things going on in his "personal life."
“It’s foreseeable that I may not be able to hack it," he tells judge about current trial plan.
Despite everything, Christopher Quaglin -- who went by "Chris Trump" on Facebook -- wants to stick with Joseph McBride even if it means he's locked up for six more months before trial.
Quaglin calls McBride “the best man for the job right now.”
Re-upping Brandon Straka’s video here, which was court evidence for his sentencing.
He admitted in court that he encouraged the mob to steal the officer’s shield in this video, but has since heavily suggested that he was actually lying to the court, but not lying now.
Brandon Straka significantly benefited from his cooperation with the FBI, and he’s playing a very risky game here. He wants you to believe he lied to a court, but is telling the truth now. nbcnews.com/politics/justi…
“According to prosecutors, however, Straka is really underselling the assistance he provided in their prosecution of the woman he now calls a friend.”
William Stephon Kit, aka "Semore Views," has been arrested in connection with Jan. 6.
Police interviewed Kit at a convenience store in Oxon Hill, Maryland, just two days after Jan. 6, but it looks like it took a tip to the FBI in December 2021 to jump-start this investigation again. storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.usco…
"Semore Views" described himself as a "Trump-publican" and said he represents the "smallest demographic of Trump supporters."
He was apparently RTed by Trump, another Jan. 6 attendee mentioned that and asked him about it.
