Westerners who spend their entire lives working, shopping, consuming, reading, viewing, voting, behaving, speaking and thinking exactly as the powerful want them to sometimes voice concerns that their society might be in danger of someday slipping into a totalitarian dystopia.
If you spend a lot of time worrying that we are sliding into dystopia, it's because you haven't looked closely enough at our present situation.
If you think we're not yet in a totalitarian dystopia, tell me what it is the powerful want but don't yet have? An entire civilization dedicated to profiting them and serving their interests? Collective mind control? Ownership of all political parties? They have all those things.
The uncomfortable reality is that our entire civilization is set up to benefit a few powerful people, and we think it's normal because we have been conditioned to think that. We are trained monkeys dancing their owner's dance while telling each other fairy tales about being free.

Normal person: China's misdeeds have been greatly exaggerated by western propaganda and the US is quantifiably far more murderous and destructive.
Crazy person: Oh so you think China is a perfect communist utopia and the CCP never does anything wrong?? Why don't you MOVE there??
I will never get bored with the way I can post these things and then get multiple empire simps lining up to do the exact thing I'm making fun of.
It's just amazing. Just pure stimulus-response. Like, is anyone in there? Is nobody home?

The leaked Chinese documents that have been used to advance the "Uyghur genocide" narrative also happen to say that the detainees have been free for years.
No actually the bottom line is that those claiming there's a genocide happening in Xinjiang and that millions of Uyghurs are being detained in concentration camps have been knowingly lying to us for years.
Criticize Beijing all you want for its authoritarian solutions to its terrorism problem in Xinjiang, but it was plainly universes less draconian than the US approach of killing millions and displacing tens of millions in its barbaric "war on terror".

CBS: Here's an investigative report on how only 30% of the weapons we're sending to Ukraine are getting to the frontline!

Ukrainian government: No. Take it down.

CBS: Okay sorry.
Not only will western media outlets uncritically report any claim the Ukrainian government makes, they will also retract claims of their own when the Ukrainian government tells them to. It's not just people like me who see them as propagandists: that's how they see themselves.

This organized mass trolling enthusiast literally works for the United States government.

It's funny how contrived and formulaic it is. Like okay they're doing the frog brigade thing. Who's their Pepe? Oh it's the Shiba dog. From all those memes. How fresh.

Think I'm gonna start blocking the paternalistic libertarians who do this. It's SO obnoxious and condescending. It would never even occur to me to do this to the antiwar libertarians I follow, but they do it to me constantly. Fucking sick of it.
I've taken so much shit over the years from leftists for my willingness to overlap with US libertarians on war, and as thanks I get all these emotionally stunted manchildren telling me to shut up about my own ideology and only write things they agree with all the time. Fuck you.
Collaborating against war doesn't mean shutting up about our values. And what shits me is libertarians KNOW this, because they themselves never shut up about how great capitalism is and how bad socialism is. But they want me to shut up about my values and service their agendas.

I always mentally translate "the CCP" to "you can stop reading here, I'm just blindly regurgitating empire propaganda."
The party of the Chinese government is called the Communist Party of China, the correct abbreviation for which is CPC. But there's no need to use that when "the Chinese government" or "Beijing" would do just as well; the only reason not to do so would be to de-legitimize it.
Empire propaganda always changes language to psychologically divorce an empire-targeted government from the nation in the minds of its audience. That's why they say "regime" instead of "government"; they want to frame it as an alien occupying force people need liberating from.
