Big news! The #PACTAct is now the law of the land!
This is a historic day for millions of veterans across the country who have suffered from debilitating and fatal illnesses for far too long.
The Honoring our PACT Act, which includes my COVENANT Act and Veterans Disability Claims Notification Improvement Act, keeps our promise to those who fought for us and their families.
As a 20-year Navy veteran, I am proud to have worked with my colleagues on both sides of the aisle in the House to pass this lifesaving legislation and expand health care services to our veterans.
I want to thank our veterans and their families, veteran service organizations, and the many advocates across the country who worked tirelessly to make the PACT Act the law.
There is more work to be done for our active-duty personnel, veterans, and military families, and I will remain a champion for those that have fought for us.

Today, I introduced the VA Preventing Duplicate Payments Act of 2022 today to prevent duplicate payments for the same medical services by @DeptVetAffairs, @HHSGov, and @DeptofDefense.
Duplicative billing practices waste limited health care resources and limit the VA’s ability to provide the quality and accessible medical services that our veterans deserve.
My legislation will combat waste, cut through administrative red tape, and improve services for our veterans by streamlining the billing process between agencies.
