Stand by for pictures of lamb chops, steak, and fried eggs that I made on a flat stone from #OurWawar heated by fire from wood from our wawar.

Everything was most divine, y'all! Why don't we all cook on stone slabs? What sears one gets!
These stones will forever be known as @SubkrishnaRao Stones cos he found them.

First course of "patthar gosht" was lamb chops. Check out that sear!!!

A cautionary tale from when parents were flying back to India last week. And shows how sadistically horrible the tech of this Indian government is.

The day before the flight, dad couldn't find his vaccination printout. I said no problemo, you can show it on the phone. But...
But it turned out it wasn't on any cloud! The fathership had downloaded it on the home computer in Pune. Then put it on a thumb drive and taken to a neighbor for a printout.

No worries, says dad. The Arogya Setu app lets you download it anytime. Okay, let's do it says I

But..
The app doesn't seem to be working.

Indian govt websites being regularly down is super common cos it's basically Infy's 2003 tech still being force fit everywhere.

But a while later, the app still wasn't able to connect to the server. So I open site on PC.

Caudillos is Latin American for what in Indian politics are called Bahubalis.
Every summer, I have one topic that I read a lot about. This summer, it is the history of Latin America. It's been such a cauldron of democracy, authoritarianism, and everything in between. Especially South America.

And USA fucked up so many of those countries for profit! 😐
For years, I thought of Latin America as this place where the US and Soviets fought many proxy wars. They did.

But US pretty much created the opening for Soviets to move in through its rapacious policies putting profit above democracy. Like in Iran.

Hahahaha this is like saying Neil Armstrong stepping on the moon was an unintended consequence of NASA being founded.
Ugh, that whole Ninan piece is such a shallow sophistic screed against government providing basic services to the needy.

India was always a land culturally lacking in empathy for the most vulnerable among us. But in the last 8 years, that lack of empathy has really soared!

With the flag business, there's the added bonus of putting a lot of polyester out there, made from fossil fuels, literally in the middle of a historic global heat wave that's hitting India the worst.

Indian flags with bigger carbon footprints. 🤦🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️
I know I keep harping on the polyester angle but can you blame me?

Soon after I read this article, I read that Modi had changed the law to allow polyester flags.

Yeah, that's what we need. Introducing newer mass products made from fossil fuels. 😑
