Everyone forgets important details from meetings.

You don’t have to!

Here is a bulletproof method to remember anything:

1/10
Over the last few years, there have popped up a lot of notetaking tools that have a powerful feature named backlinks:
- @RoamResearch
- @obsdmd
- @NotionHQ
- @craftdocsapp
++

Here is how I leverage backlinks to quickly recall the essential info in every meeting I attend:

2/10
Create a new note for every day

In that note, write your notes for the meetings you attend.

Here comes the crucial part:
Whenever you write about a person or company, link to a page (double brackets in most of these programs).

It doesn't matter if that page exists yet.

After the meeting, when you review your notes, create a page for all the persons and companies that don't exist yet.

My company template looks like this:

My template for a person often looks like this after the first meeting:

By taking notes this way, you suddenly have a personal CRM!

If I meet @thatroblennon again, I can pop up my note-taking program and see all the times I've referenced him.

6/10 Image
In the person-note I often write down what we discussed last or details about their family.

My favorite usage for the note is to write down gifts-ideas for them. Next time you need a gift, you know where to look!

Taking notes this way ensures you'll quickly find the information you need since you can either go by date, person, or company to find your notes.

As a bonus you'll probably see some connections you didn't before!

PS:
If your notetaking program don’t support backlinks you can always add links between dates, persons and companies manually.

Here is my template for persons if you want to copy:

• Tags: #people
• Interests:
• Gift ideas:
• Related:

Low power mode is automatically enabled when your battery reaches 20%, but you can turn it on earlier to save more:

Don't wait for your iPhone to be stolen to realize the value of its content.

Take 3 minutes to protect your photos, passwords and privacy:
Do a Safety Check

Go to Settings > Privacy and Security > Safety Check > Click Manage Sharing & Access.

You can now review all the information you share with others and apps.
Turn on stolen device protection (iOS 17.3)

This prevents someone that has stolen your phone and knows your passcode from doing changes to your account without biometric authentication and a delay.

Go to Settings > Face ID & Passcode> Stolen Device protection and turn it on!

Shortcuts is the most powerful app on your iPhone.

But 99% don’t know how to use it.

7 shortcuts to make your life easier:
1. Stop playing music when your iPhone connects to your car

Tired of autoplay when your phone connects to your car? Set it up by creating a new personal automation that triggers when you connect Bluetooth to your vehicle. Then select the Pause iPhone action.
2. Turn on low power mode before your phone reaches 20%

This will make your battery last longer: Create a new personal automation that starts when your phone goes below 35% (or higher). When the automation starts, set low power mode.

Make sure to turn off notifications as well.
