We refine our crude oil abroad when we should be one of the nations at the forefront refining. NNPC, Petrobras, Saudi Aramco all started operations at the same time. Western oil and gas firms are currently diversifying their assets & seeking alternative sources of energy.
The west is seeking alternatives to reduce exploration of dirty fuels, & its now NNPC is restructuring for commercial operations amidst losses & rising subsidies.
We used to have functional refineries. We have borrowed over the years from China/IMF and utilizing the funds For consumption not production. We are borrowing for recurrent expenditure.
Our main asset/ resource- People, are migrating, because of the poor state of the economy.

The reason Nigeria have 100 million people living in poverty today, 18 million children out of school, and about 52% of them either unemployed or underemployed is because we will rather vote for incompetence due to primitive belief of religion and ethnicity.
Today you can’t travel from Abuja to Kaduna by road or rail, is it because someone from the southeast is in charge ? Can u travel to Minna by road?
There was an attack by bandits on the Presidential convoy, in Kastina, is it because someone from south east is in charge ?
