Okay so the @scottbix article about Kamala Harris supporters is just as bad as people are saying. Another tone-deaf smear by white male media to paint a predominantly minority political identify as rabid against the backdrop of Republicans threatening violence against the FBI.🧵
The piece is essentially just a gratuitous effort to bash fervent VP supporters as “rabid” and “insane” citing to old articles.
The piece DIRECTLY contradicts its premise…acknowledging that Harris supporters “do continue to largely support her.”
The author then cites *one* anonymous twitter user to support his argument that #KHive has abandoned Harris.
Despite the abuser framing of the article…the only other reasons given for “retreating” from KHive were that the election ended 2 years ago and some talk of trademarking KHive….so literally nothing to do with waning support for VP.
Of all the news and all the takes one could make during this hugely consequential week, instead @scottbix forces an unsupported narrative to attack the first Black woman VP…who wouldn’t see that as media bias? 🤷🏽♂️🙄
Also…this is from one of his sources. (H/t @JuneSummer1)
Okay wow and reading the above, this is really quite egregious. See the quote as used in the article and the actual quote in context — which, ironically, implicates the media.
And another source cited in the piece has also spoken out:
Last point on this that really bothers me…this thread imo is totally within the bounds of reasonable media criticism. Yet, I know journos take issue with these types of call-outs & even equate them with Trump’s attacks on media. It’s very unfair and dangerous to compare the two.
It appears @scottbix and others in media stand by the shoddy reporting. He continues to promote the article without correction this morning. Disappointing, but not surprising, to see.

🚨BREAKING: Dr. Bernard, who provided care to a 10-year-old Ohio rape victim, is currently listed as a “threat” by an anti-abortion group with ties to Amy Coney Barrett…AND SHE HAS RECEIVED THREATS OF KIDNAPPING AGAINST HER DAUGHTER.
For people saying the kidnapping threats were 2020…yes. Read the article…what difference does that make?? They are targeting her NOW in 2022, knowing that she already has had her family threatened. It’s insanely insanely dangerous.
I think the people complaining about telling people to just vote know this very well. So there really isn’t much more to be explained. Everyone complaining about the filibuster understands this too. So who is it that is actually missing the logic on why to vote? Genuine question.
Absolutely true. But that brings us back to where so many of us are — pushing and prioritizing voting. Let’s make sure everyone knows they should vote and help them get to the polls.
And you have explicitly defended him and his political outlook, without evidence. Which is damaging given your role. And the premise of my reply about your duty to correct that misrepresentation to the public. You’ve insisted “he’s not Trump” with no basis. @karaswisher
For years the unelectable Bernie-left has kept screaming at us to stop rehashing 2016, yet here we are 6 years later and they haven’t learned any of the lessons they should have. And they’re trying to cost us the next election too. We can unite and win — if they stop dividing us.
Expected retort, but the far left spreads disinfo abt how our gov functions to suppress Dem turnout & grow their online followings but don’t deliver any outcomes…so we have to correct the record.
All they do is attack Dems. 99% of my tweets are supporting Dems/calling out GOP.
And to be clear, my plan is get as many people to put issues aside and vote for Democrats, the only party fighting for our democracy. 66.8% turnout in 2020 (record-breaking!…yet pathetic). Vote to give Dems *real* power to act and stop telling people their vote doesn’t matter.
What Democrats Should Learn from RuPaul’s Drag Race: Earlier this Pride Month, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi made an unusual appearance. She stepped out onto the stage of @RuPaulsDragRace, a drag performance competition show, with a message for the queens,
“Thank you for the joy and beauty you bring to the world. Your freedom of expression of yourselves in drag is what America is all about.” She then pleaded with the show’s performers and viewers to vote in the upcoming midterm elections.
In many ways the appearance serves as validation of the show’s success. Drag shows, once part of an underground subculture, are currently at the center of mainstream political discourse. This is in no small part due to the savvy of Drag Race host, @RuPaul Charles.
