How to start an Amazon FBA business this week

THREAD
I started Amazon FBA back in 2019 and failed to find success for the first 1.5 years.

This was mainly due to not being able to sell big brands because of Amazon gating them to new sellers

Luckily that's easy to get around now.
Use the following sites to get ungated:

EE Distribution - Toys

Eastbay - Nike, Adidas, Under Armour

Frontier CoOp - Beauty & Grocery
In terms of getting going, here is the #4 step process

#1 - Open an Amazon seller account ($40/mo), pretty simple, can be done in an hour and then a few days for Amazon to verify you.
#2 - Get Keepa ($20/mo) and a SellerAmp free trial ($17/mo)

These will help you find products
#3 - Learn the basics.

Binge my Youtube videos (Flips4Miles) listen to @BuyBoxBandits podcast, and start scanning anything you see with a barcode on the @SellerAmp app

There's a good chance you already have some old books, gifts, etc with value
If they have a decent sales rank list them on Amazon

#4 - Start sending items to Amazon and selling through

The point is to get through the basics ASAP (a few weeks) and learn the processes.
You only have to learn them once, now its time to grow.

Q4 is right around the corner and there is sooooooo much opportunity.

Let's get after it.

I've spent well over $1,000,000 the last 12 months on items to resell on Amazon

Here's how I find profitable items: Image
Sales are scaling nicely with back to school, I've focused the last 2 months on getting lots of BTS items

August was the first month last year I found success on Amazon.

My average ROI is right around 25%
I used to keep my minimum ROI at 30% but now as I've grown and have more capital I focus on quick selling, lower margin items

For me, return of capital > return on capital.

Every dollar needs to be working.

I spent $250,000 on products to sell on Amazon FBA last month

Here's how: Image
I don't use tactical arbitrage

I have no virtual assistants for product research

I'm not a member of any sourcing groups or lists

I keep it super simple, which allowed me to get great at reverse sourcing.
Reverse sourcing = looking at what products successful sellers are carrying, weeding out which fit my velocity and price criteria

Then going and hunting for those items

This is what I originally started doing last summer to scale to $100k/mo revenue

How I scaled my Amazon business to multi six figures in profit over 18 months:
I previously started selling on Amazon back in 2019, selling used books in college.

However I could never scale it.

Never knew how to ungate good brands, so I put it on the backburner in 2020.
Eventually, I figured out how to get ungated in February 2021 and it was go time

Immediately

By March I had a $5k profit month, and by August I was doing $15k/mo profit.

I started selling on Amazon three years ago while working as an unpaid intern

Since then I've been able to scale up and have done around $2.5m in sales.
