Got a rejection for @YoinkApp for #Mac for mentioning Apple pre-release software, but I am not. They didn’t give an example or any info where I’m allegedly mentioning it, either. Asked for clarification. Can’t wait to see what they say.
And of course, this will waste time 🤦‍♂️
For a company that wants every single detail of your life when you submit a simple bug report, they’re very skimpy with details themselves when they would *actually matter*.

Mention of pre-release xyz: Maybe include a screenshot? Or any pointer where they think that is the case?
HAHAHA, I knew it. I just knew it.
Just received this answer from App Review to my “which parts of my app and/or its metadata do you consider pre-release” question.
This is insane. And infuriating.

I literally haven’t changed the text in my marketing description in many months. Image
Every reply to App Review costs about half a day, if not more.
This is so ridiculous. Maybe I should just escalate to the App Review Board to have a better chance of getting an actual answer?
I literally have *no idea* what they’re considering mentioning pre-release software here
Decided to escalate. I can’t handle another useless boilerplate response telling me what I already know.
Well, I finally know how I'm mentioning pre-release software without mentioning pre-release software (aka Schroedinger's App rejection)

You know that iOS 12 feature where you can insert photos from your iPhone into a doc on your Mac, called "Continuity Camera"? (support.apple.com/en-us/HT209037)

(2 / x)
You also know that new iOS 16/macOS Ventura iPhone-as-a-webcam-for-your-Mac feature, also called "Continuity Camera"?

Yes, I'm laughing too.
🤣🤣🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️
Because the order of tweets got messed up, here as a screenshot.
Long story short: Two features (one from iOS 12, one from iOS 16), and one name: Continuity Camera. Image
App Review's responses are getting downright nonsensical and disconnected.
They now offered me links to "helpful" articles on how to implement features like Game Center, iCloud, and In-App purchases.

What exactly does that have to do with iOS 12's Continuity Camera feature!?
I could not make this stuff up.
I now sent them a link to a @MacRumors article from April 22nd, 2019, where they feature @YoinkApp for Mac's Continuity Camera feature, supported on macOS 10.14 and iOS 12 - both definitely not pre-release software.
No word from the App Review Board yet, >3 days after appealing.
