ONE OF FIRST WARRANT CHIEF IN EASTERN NIGERIA

His Royal Highness, Ogbuefi Ojiako Ezenne (1857–1944) was a member of the Igbo tribe who was appointed by the Colonial government to serve as Warrant Chief (1914–1921) and then Paramount Chief (1921–1944), of Adazi-Nnukwu...
currently in Anambra State in Nigeria. As the new protectorate government, did not in all cases impose a new royal family on native populations, but recognised the ancient ruling families based on Ofo seniority across villages, Ojiako Ezenne as the holder of the Ofo Ozo...
Okpalaekili, the oldest Ozo title in Adazi-Nnukwu, became the first African to serve as President of the Agulu Customary Court in 1914, having already served as clan chief between 1907 and 1914 of Amolu Clan, the senior clan in Adazi-Nnukwu. Ojiako Ezenne was a contemporary of...
Warrant Chiefs such as Muoyekwu Onyiuke of Nimo, Amobi of Ogidi and Nnama Orjiakor of Nibo.
Identified by the Colonial Distinct Office, as serving with an excellent record, Ojiako Ezenne on February 1, 1915, chaired the meeting of forty-five Warrant Chiefs in Eastern Nigeria that enacted laws terminating the practice of slavery in South-East Nigeria, thus pitting him in
direct confrontation with the Aro slave dealers.
Ojiako Ezenne had more than 37 wives and was survived by 86 children. Among his children were Okamigbo Ojiako who served as Nigeria’s first Ambassador to Germany in addition to serving as the second Igwe of Adazi-Nnukwu.
Another son, Obudume Ojiako, served as the third Igwe (Adama) of Adazi-Nnukwu. A sister, Mbafo Ezenne, was married to the late Amanyanabo Owokori VII of Abonnema. He was also a brother-in-law to the Aro politician Igwegbe Odum.

BAT is perhaps the most dangerous politician alive today in Nigeria for 4 reasons: he is very smart, very ambitious, very immoral and extremely rich.

He has decided to run for President, and he foisted himself on the party.
Trying to deny him the ticket would have broken the party, so they let him have his way. Below are 10 reasons why any sensible person with a healthy conscience should not vote for him.
1. 𝗡𝗼 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗱/𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲

The strongest form of citizenship is by birth. Likewise, the strongest forms of legitimacy are proofs of your ancestry, familial origins, childhood life and relationships.

Pay attention to Tinubu's refusal to attend the NBA conference today.
It would have been the first public comparison of the top contenders for next year's election and his camp knew that this would expose how badly he compares to the others. So they sent his running mate.
And yes, he is within his rights to do so.
This is exactly how they'll campaign - by deploying a basement strategy.
They'll hide him from the public as much as possible & try to campaign through surrogates.

They'll do this for 2 reasons.
1. He has a bad case of "foot in mouth disease". Over the last few months he's shown us the lack of coherence to his thoughts and ideas. His public appearances have all become meme worthy.

2. His appearances will continue to show how physically frail he is.

Singapore to be Asia’s millionaire capital by 2030

According to a report by HSBC Holdings Plc, by 2030 Singapore will overtake Australia in the proportion of millionaires among the adult population in the Asia-Pacific region.
Singapore is expected to be followed by Australia, Hong Kong and Taiwan. The share of millionaires in these four countries will be higher than in the U.S. by the end of the decade.
Australia ranked first in the region in 2021, and Singapore ranked second, according to HSBC.
The Asia-Pacific region also includes some of the world's fastest-growing economies. In Vietnam, the Philippines and India, the number of adults with at least $250,000 in wealth could more than double by 2030, according to the report.

Russia jumps to become third-largest market for yuan payments amid sanctions

Russia has charged up to third place in a list of countries outside mainland China using the yuan for global payments, highlighting how it is being affected by Western sanctions.
Russia had not even been on the monthly list published by global financial messaging firm SWIFT before its invasion of Ukraine in February, but now only Hong Kong and Britain are now ahead of it.
Russian firms and banks were involved in almost 4% of international yuan payments by value in July. That was up from 1.42% the previous month and from zero in February.
Hong Kong remains the top source of yuan transactions outside mainland China with 73.8% of the total,...
