Do you know we have $3bn Bayelsa Deep Sea port in Agge that Goodluck Jonathan also forgot when he was President. The port was planned 46years ago. Project is at Ekeremor Local Govt. Agge port is a trans-shipment for traffic beth deep sea, land & rail
2: Jonathan did not ask Transport Minister, Senator Idris Umar to forward to Council for FEC’s consideration an approval for Agge Deep Sea port PPP. Investors came and left with no word. Dickson set up a committee to fast track the issue. As usual, nothing happened.
3: Bayelsa elders and govt leaders reset this project. Engage @MinTransportNG for necessary approvals. Host communities are also complaining of no compensation. Bayelsa govt should wake up. Sea port creates employment
4: Hope you now understand that Lagos is not your problem but your leaders in various states.
5: Unemployment in Nigeria is ARTIFICIAL.

Nigeria is greatly endowed with large natural bitumen estimated 42.47billion tonnes & second largest in the world. Yet to be explored for economic resources. You can find Bitumen in Ondo, Ogun, Lagos & Edo states. We are losing in $130bn global bitumen market importing $17bn
2: @fmmsdngr opened a bid for for local production of bitumen recently. May I appeal to the Govs of Lagos, Ogun, Ondo (especially) & Edo states to look for investors and create wealth for our people. We don’t need FAAC allocation again. It is doable. Reduce unemployment.
3: Nigerians talk to your friends, this can be done under PPP. We are just hungry for nothing. We are not POOR.
18th Dec,2014, FEC not Jonathan approved N3bn contract for Makurdi Inland Port with a completion period of 18months. N600m was provided as initial seed. Makurdi port is supposed to link the hinterland to the coastal ports. Obviously, Govt has no money to complete this project
2. @benuestategovt should apply to FG via @ICRC_Nigeria to take over the project with a reputable investor. Benue people, you have a project that can create jobs and turn Makurdi to local Dubai. You have all the necessary natural resources as well as railway linking SS to SE.
3: In 2021, govt budgeted N400m for the design/ construction of Makurdi river port facilities in Benue State. Don’t forget that Jonathan just awarded his own on paper. So, this is the issue that @GovSamuelOrtom should be fighting. Look for investors and leave PDP wahala.
Do you know that we have GELEGELE SEAPORT in Ovia North East LGA in Edo State. GELEGELE is a village. It was opened by Oba Ewuare, Portuguese used to come here in 1472AD. Guess what happened? In 2018, Edo state govt convinced China Harbour Engineering (same Firm for Ibom deep)
2: As usual Gelegele’s ownership dispute between the Benin and the Ijaws started. in 2019, half clad women & youths chased away 50 police officers and CONSTRUCTION WORKERS. Meanwhile, Supreme Court in 1983 delivered a judgement that Benins are the owners of GELEGELE.
3: Hope you will agree with me that our unemployment is a man made problem. No investor can be at peace to work there. So local community leaders should do their work and LGA chairman. This project would have generated more money to Edo so that they can claim EDO no be LAGOS.
Do you know that Oguta port in Osemoto, Oguta LGA, Imo State in 50s used to play host to vessels from Liverpool and other countries? Oguta port was connected to River Niger used by European firms to move palm produce, oil & gas, Agric products to Europe & African countries
2: Yar Adua approved a contract to rehabilitate the place&govt did not release money for the contractor. Efforts have been made by this Govt to revive it. Vandals have vandalized the one storey administrative blocks. Shocking thing is that Oguta has a rail line designed to Lokoja
3: Oguta has a rail line to move goods from Baru to Lokoja & to other parts of Nigeria. Palm oil biz was booming via Oguta Port. No matter the road rehabilitation or construction, if we neglect inland waterways, so that vessels can carry more goods so as to save money, na failure
What is happening to Leaders of Delta State? You have old & new Warri ports, Forcados, Burutu ports & Sapele ports ceded to the Navy. Guess what? Koko Port has the DEEPEST NATURAL HARBOUR in WEST AFRICA. These ports have been shackled by ETHNIC VIOLENCE & lethargy on Delta PDP
2: 16years of PDP in power, all the Govs then could not approach FG to seek approval for PPP to solve the problems of Delta ports. The present Gov Okonwa can not open discussion with FG to solve this problem. Delta ports will generate more revenue than LAGOS. Shameful
3: koko port has Inland Container Depot for the whole South South by this APC’s govt. What is even annoying is that most of the Political leaders in Delta state are into MARITIME Business. Massive job opportunities dey Delta state. You have no business in Lagos.
Why are we like this? Ibom deep Seaport wahala: People of Oron accused Akwa Ibom govt ofrelocating the project from Ibaka Bay due to a gang up against an ethnic group. govt said Mbo &Ibeno Councils were considered. How can Chinese Investor starts work in this kind of atmosphere?
2: Recall that seaport covered about 2500 hectares of land. The industrial city is around 14,000 hectares and the headquarters would be located around Mbo axis of the complex. Now, good people of Akwa Ibom should come together to find a way out so that investors can work.
3: Investors have left. The investor was China Harbour Engineering Company. So host community even petitioned Chinese company. Hope the next administration will resolve this embarrassing situation. PDP boys and girls in Lagos & Abuja, what can you do to salvage this issue.
