malaysians, the IPCC report has just been released.
this global assessment on climate change concluded that glaciers & sea level rise are virtually irreversible. heatwaves & heavy rain are more frequent & intense since 1950. our oceans are becoming hotter & more acidic. (1/6)
1.09°c is the amount of the earth has warmed since pre-industrial times & 1.07°c of that warming is due to human activities.
global surface temperature has warmed faster since 1970 than in any 50-year period over the last 2,000 years. the last 50 years has been bad for us. (2/6)
for the first time, the IPCC highlights that humans are unequivocally responsible for the warming of the atmosphere, lands & oceans.
human influence has also been detected for the first time, in compounded extreme weather events. (3/6)
