My drawing is based on William Walcutt’s painting “Pulling Down The Statue of George III at Bowling Green” which was painted in 1857.
The original painting depicts the destruction of the monument by New Yorkers and George Washington’s troops following a public reading of the Declaration of Independence on July 9, 1776.
This painting spoke to me as it seemed like history was repeating itself during the BLM protests. People were taking to the streets and toppling symbols of control, hate, and violence.
The music video for the single is also incredible and was partially inspired by my album art.

1/18: TFPAC🧵 I’ve always been a fan of public collections, museums, and institutions that collect and exhibit work. They strip away the market and put culture at the forefront. They educate, promote, and champion vital voices that are making art about the times they live in.
2/18:A permanent collection is vitally important if we want to foster growth and culture within the NFT space. There’s far too much focus on money and how that dictates the value of art.
3/18: With that said there has been many in the Tezos community who have been unhappy with how the Tezos Foundation’s Permanent Art Collection has been handled. Instead of focusing on gossip and name calling I propose the following ways we can improve how we move forward.
