A Thread:
Since the Doctor told me to take’er handy on the drink I’ve been reminiscing and thinking what are my favourite drinking days. Here’s what I’ve come up with in order:
(Note this is a personal opinion. But would be interested in debating and hearing others’ opinions)…
1.) Sunday. - the greatest drinking day. You’re not supposed to be out and that’s what makes it so sweet. You tell yourself you’ll be home early but it’s always a lie because the craic is just too dam good.
2.) Thursday. - This is a personal one for me. A bit like the Sunday, you’re not quite supposed to be out. You’re giddy for the weekend, Like the night before a big day…there’s something that’s just so thirsty about a Thursday.
3.) Friday. - Works out for the week. Spirits are high, not too big of a crowd but always a decent stir. Could easily be swapped into 2nd. Downside is it can often lead to a 3 day bender.
4.) Saturday-May shock most. But always said it…overrated. The sunshine drinkers come out, “the silly season” esque & the likes. Often too busy, can’t chat anyone, can’t get a drink, more spirits than beer, & lord I hate dying of a Sunday. Should be lower only for its frequency!
(Note: you still will probably find me out most Saturdays out of boredom)

5.) Monday. - The Monday Club is the greatest club. Would be much higher only for the lack of them in a year realistically.
6.) Wednesday- sometimes nice to get a little hump day drink. Maybe a champions league match in. A good college night. But overall not hectic.

7.) Tuesday- The most irrelevant night, not even a decent college night anywhere. Stay home and watch the soaps.
