From Marsch's press conference - Ayling and Firpo should be in full training next week. Bamford is "doing well and moving forward" - still a call to make on him for Brighton away, but Marsch says the performance of the team is allowing him to be patient with PB. #lufc
Marsch on signings (esp. a forward): "How likely it is, that's dependent on how things play out and what availability is. We don't have a surplus of money to bring in a huge transfer but we've done a good job of analysing players who are of interest to us."
Not ruling it out, in other words. #lufc
Liam Cooper came through last night. Plan was 30-45 minutes and he felt good enough to go through 45 mins. #lufc
On Klich: "The air is totally clear and he's committed to helping any way he can. He'll continue to be a big factor for us." #lufc
Marsch on the Wolves draw in the League Cup: "Terrible. Mostly because they're a good team and it won't be easy. Not what we wanted but whatever, we'll be ready to go." #lufc
JM: "I want to be fair to Andrea. We're operating within a budget which is defined. We're trying to be aggressive and we talk daily to make sure we're on the same page. Whatever decisions are made, they have to have the exact strategy in mind. We've done that really well." #lufc

Cooper and Llorente both available this weekend, although Bielsa says he is more cautious about Llorente. Tyler Roberts missing again. Indicated that it will be a recognisable line-up at Crawley. Didn't sound like Bielsa will weaken his side significantly. #lufc
Bielsa said the FA Cup is the "essence" of English football. Likes going to lower-league games when he can (or did before Covid). "It's easy to love one of the top five teams in the world. It's a lot more difficult to love a team in the bottom five in League One."
that said, he understands why some PL managers don't prioritise the FA Cup. Says teams play more games than they should and players suffer from "an excess of minutes". But also says he feels he needs to "pay homage" to this competition.

A little thread to explain Bielsa's Hernan Crespo apology, which probably needs some context:
Bielsa, as Argentina boss, coached Crespo at various stages of his playing career. He once told a young Crespo that he saw him as a very mature player, even though Bielsa didn't believe it at the time. He said so to build up Crespo's confidence and therefore improve his game.
Several years later, in another conversation with Crespo, Bielsa told him that he was now showing more maturity than he had when he was young. Crespo remembered what Bielsa had said to him previously and was confused. Bielsa regretted lying to him and today, apologised.*
