He was forced to rethinking his position by his deputy WILLIAM RUTO who this morning has followed recounting the events saying, there's no mistake in him forcing UHURU back to presidency.

We also now know that the relationship between UHURU and RUTO has soured way before 2017 elections. Uhuru insiders wanted to remove Ruto from the ticket, they just didn't know how to.

About 1 month ago the government announced a 'welfare package' that would cushion vulnerable Kenyans as CV-19 crisis deepened.

The Media reports suggested the money was JUST ABOUT TO BE RELEASED.

There's a WORLD of difference btn announcing and DOING

The welfare package as announced by the government was supposed to be effected through a cash transfer.

The elderly, poor, and persons living with disabilities were supposed to receive somewhere between 2,000 and 8,000.
We wanted to find out how long will it take for the money to REACH the people.

So we embedded our team of community journalists in informal settlements of Nairobi to report on the 'welfare package' in action.

This is what we found out.

It's been a record low FOUR weeks on sales of CHINESE fish in the markets.

Traders say customers are SCARED of the fish and they are preferring fish from LAKE VICTORIA, in its absence, fish farms from KENYA.
"Before coronavirus, our customers really didn't care about where the fish came from. Fish from CHINA is cheap and easy to get compared to others."

Here's how communities without a SAFETY NET a grappling with COVID-19 pandemic.

Location: Korogocho.

Home to about 160,000 people, houses are usually very small one-room shanties made from pieces of old iron or plastic and mud. The floors are made of mud and there’s no running water or electricity.
Economic activity: Each morning men walk to the Industrial chancing work in one of the factories. Others have “small businesses’ scavenging on the city dump and then selling things they find, or buying cheap vegetables in the market and selling them on at the roadside.
