I know it's been pretty Kiwi Farms heavy around here this week, but please understand. KF's user base of obsessed sociopaths are 1 of 2 sites most responsible for 4 years of endless stalking my family and friends have endured.

This reconing is long overdue. #DropKiwifarms 1/
And this public backlash is putting a lie to the common myth of "don't feed the trolls."

The people giving that advice are well-meaning, but naive. They have not faced the sort of focused, sustained campaign of harassment and terrorism we have. These aren't trolls. 2/
They're clinically obsessed, criminal cyberstalkers. And they don't stop just because you look away. Indeed, like mold, they grow and fester absent the light.

As we're seeing with KF, the only thing that works is face them head on and drag them into the public consciousness. 3/
It's taken years, but the public outrage and backlash has finally reached critical mass, a tipping point. And if sustained for long enough, KF will not survive it as a community. This was only made possible by enough people talking openly, forcefully, and repeatedly. 4/
The lesson is none of us should have to suffer harassment, stalking, and abuse in silence. No one should be told "Just ignore them and they'll go away." That myth serves only abusers. Even if they do get bored and move on, they just move on to a new victim. How is that better? 5/
And I swear to whatever Gods you hold, I NEVER want to see or hear any victims told to just leave the internet and delete their social media.

This isn't 1991. Social media and an internet presence is critical to the professional and personal lives of hundreds of millions. 6/
Asking victims to change their lives and basically stop existing in public spaces instead of identifying, shaming, and arresting their abusers is the definition of victim-blaming. The internet has allowed us to build relationships that span the globe. 7/
It's insanity itself to reward abusers by telling their victims they no longer deserve to exist in public spaces, to enjoy the connections, opportunities, relationships, and communities the internet offers instead of forcing the abusers to change their anti/social behavior. 8/8

If you've never been cyberstalked, especially through one of these community-based stalking sites like Kiwi Farms, there's no reason it would've occured to you just publicly revealing the fact you are being stalked carries its own risks of exposure and escalation.
But it does. Drawing attention to the people who are stalking you means drawing more eyeballs onto the infdog pile. (or defamation) they are using to harass and terrorize you. Not all of those eyes will be friendly. You risk increasing the size of the dogpile.
But at the same time, saying nothing means they get to continue to operate in the shadows. Festering out of the public eye and away from scrutiny of their actions and crimes, which lets them continue.

It's a Catch 22, and everyone has to decide how to balance the competing risks

Whenever someone who was Doxxed/SWATTed speaks about it publicly, their abusers follow the same 3 Step Gaslighting as new evidence emerges:

1. They're lying and were never D/S.
2. They're lying and D/S themselves for sympathy.
3. They were D/S by someone trying to frame us. 1/
This has been true of our stalkers as well. When one of them was caught red-handed on our security cameras trespassing and vandalizing our property, they said it was me in the video faking the vandalism of my own motorcycle. 2/
When they SWATTed us for the 3rd and now 4th times, they said it never happened until local news showed camera footage. Then they spent days texting and tweeting that I'd called in the SWAT on myself, and then two weeks later on my own WIFE. 3/
