It's been 235 years since Black People were fraction-ized in the very constitution that says "All men are created equal"

We are the only of the 25 richest industrialized nations in the world who couple healthcare with employment

Compromising the humanity of people is what has got us here. It's not a time for peaceful negligence or a time for violence. It's time for a Moral Revival!

It is not a time for violent insurrections, it is time for a moral resurrection. It is time to expose the lies and the myths that keep America from addressing the needs of the poor and the sick and the least of these.

If you love justice, you can't be at peace with injustice. If you love truth, you can't be at peace with lies. If you love God, you can't be in love with the false God's of greed, hatred, and of racism.

Never in history have we seen so much money spent on resisting equality.

If there ever was a time to vote for democracy the time is now.

Today 50 Million Americans have less access to the polls than they did in 2020.

Truth is, we should end student loan debt & $10k is a step forward, not the entirety of what is needed. But to some of those critizing Biden on student debt: where have you been on challenging corporations to pay living wages & demanding Congress pass a $15 minimum wage…

Or demanding corporations fully support the complete restoration of voting rights & the original For the People Act? Where have you been on paid family leave, & universal health care? Or stopping pipelines thru poor, low-wage & Native lands?

We can’t pick & choose on these issues—loud about the amount of federal relief on student loans but almost muted on living wages.

These issues are not just about Black people, but all people— especially the 140 million poor and low-wealth people in this nation.

Nowhere does it say we should be forever locked out of the democratic process. To do this, is to cause a voter enslavement, enslaving the votes of thousands and slavery was made unconstitutional by the 13th Amendment. #UnlockOurVoteNC

North Carolina and the nation have lost a champion for justice and a beloved public servant. My heart is broken. Tears seem not to be enough, so I have not cried yet. I’ve only been silent and in prayer for his family. greensboro.com/news/local/for…

I have lost a true brother in the struggle. We have all lost a freedom fighter, a man deeply committed to justice, & a man of true faith.

We have lost a scholar, a preacher, a voting rights defender, an advocate for prison reform & for the wrongfully accused, a stalwart soldier in the cause of love & justice for all humankind.
