ASUU Decides!

(Read Til The End)

'Nigerian Public Varsities Students Left In Chaos As They Await For The Final Decision To Be Taken By ASUU.'

A Summary On The Journey So Far.

Read Full Details Below.

1/10
The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) is about to make her final decision known to the public tomorrow being 28th August, 2022 as the day for the 'warning strike' ends.

After six (6) months of waiting, it has come to the notice that this very moment has to be the

2/10
most anticipated one in the history of the Nigerian public universities ever since its establishment.
There have held meetings, crusades, concerts, and even parties to see if the will would be done. I would not say that none of the above-mentioned has been in vain for they

3/10
are yet to decide.
Several well-meaning Nigerians, parents, and even the charity organizations have tried to end it in the few past months but to no avail.

People have donated but the Nigerian 1999 amended constitution doesn't allow the citizens to do the Government's job.

Everyday every time, I Tweet real and current updates concerning the Nigerian educational sector.
Also like, comment, retweet, and ask questions where you can.
Both the FG and ASUU have pleaded to each other but it fell under false pretenses.
ASUU said that they don't need apology but the money. Meanwhile, the FG said that they don't have the money to give them.
Currently, ASUU wants their six months withheld salaries to be paid

5/10
but the Federal Government said that they would not pay simply because ASUU didn't work for those months and the 'No Work, No Pay' policy must be adhered.
ASUU then agreed to resume to work only if UTAS would be adopted but the FG said that the platform was corrupt.

6/10
The Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Students (SSANU), Non-Academic Staff Union (NASU), National Association of Academic Technologists (NAAT) and other bodies have agreed and suspended their strike and now, all eyes are on the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU)

7/10
to kindly suspend theirs as they are the backbone of the Nigerian varsities. Without them, nobody can lecture the students.
Parents have also begged ASUU to consider their situation and forget about President and his administration as they have failed in all aspects

8/10
and wait for the next Government.
ASUU again asked the students to sacrifice two or more years while they keep fighting for the students' betterment.
The students who are already tired and fed up have asked them to call-off and wait for the next Government as well but it

9/10
seems nobody wants to be the good Samaritan in this topsy-turvy phase of life.

The final meeting will hold at the nation's capital and the finalization will be done as well.
Nevertheless, tomorrow, ASUU decides.
Everyone's hope lies on them.

10/10
