For me, the most awaited book of the year arrived a few days ago, when friend and brilliant author @6amiji sent me the copy of her book: Ramayana Unveiled.
It is for me, the most important book of the year, because of special reasons.
Every since I was a child, the legend of Rama would mesmerize me so completely it was impossible to read, watch or listen to his story without having tears in my eyes. His story was so relatable.
He was an obedient son who just wanted to obey his father and be just.
He was an obedient student who wanted to serve his guru.
He was a loving husband who wanted to protect his love.
He was a caring brother, and friend who just wouldn't let these relationships go.
Shahrukh in Jharkhand approached Ankita for relationship and ultimately marriage to convert her to Islam. Ankita was very firm and refused point blank. He then burned her to death. But why?
2. It is because Islam is considered the only true religion by its followers. The greatest good that a Muslim can do is to bring more non-Muslims to accept Islam. Marriage is a way to do that. To refuse such an offer is considered an offense to the RoP. Hence the crime.
3. While even Muslim girls are allowed to marry non-Muslim boys provided the boy converts to Islam before marriage, it is mostly the job of the Muslim boys to seek young Hindu girls for marriage due to a differential in social life of both communities in past 2 decades.
1. An year ago, during the Navratras, a genoc!de of Hindus in Bangladesh happened. Let us not forget that as vandalism of Durga vigrahas has started again.
It was the most horrible time for me on social media. This is how.
2. The massacre of the minority community of H!ndus was so brutal and so widespread that the Hindus on internet started reaching out to their Hindu brothers in India and abroad, hoping that India would be able to help.
3. But Indian government and State was as silent as if nothing happened. The wider world would not have known much had not ISKCON Bangladesh not staked its existence there and shouted to the world what was happening. They also some of their members.
In this thread we will analyze the core beliefs of Christianity. The thread series will trace Christianity’s history in the world and in India.
2. One True Religion
The first core belief is that Christianity is the One True Religion and all other religions are false religions. They are so false that they need to be eliminated, their temples destroyed and their followers converted to One True Religion of Christianity.
3. One True God
A corollary to the first belief is the belief in One True God – YHWH, as he is called in the Bible. Judaism and Christianity give the world the concept of One True God and also False Gods. Pagan religions had different kinds of gods, but never false gods.
