It tells you how much of your content* (left pane) is not original when compared to your competitors (top-20 ranking pages) for your targeted query.
* I scored 37 (also because I'm one of the top-20 pages).
This score helps you focus on original, unique, and helpful content, as opposed to just creating commodity content (different versions of the same articles that are already ranking).
So, instead of giving more weight to (over) optimizing, content grading, or topic scoring, we, as bloggers and niche site owners, should do our best to go above and beyond when it comes to researching.
