On 26th August 2022, a letter signed by Additional director health services Mr Nitin Ambadekar stating that parental written consent is not required for vaccinating children in schools from 12 to 18 age groups was received.

Awaken India Movement gave Adv Nilesh Ojh's IBA complaint letter with AIM notice of reversal of this illegal order within 48 hrs.
After a long debate between AIM team & Asst. Director, Mr Nitin Ambadekar and Dr. Desai Additional Director, they agreed to give a revised letter.

AIM received the revised letter which is addressed to all govt dept and school administration stating the following points:

1. V@ccination is 100% voluntary.

2. Before covid 19 v@ccination of 12 to 18 yrs all the parents have to be informed about the benefits and Adverse Events Following Immunisation (AEFI), i.e severe and de@th causing s!de effects.

3. Parents have to be pre informed by written communication about V@ccination camps being organized in schools.
4. Children of parents who have not given consent for covid 19 v@ccination should not be v@ccinated.

5. V@ccination centres should have the provision of the Adverse event following immunization kits.

Thus all concerned authorities, departments, municipalities and schools are hereby informed to take notice of the above with immediate effect.

This is a major victory as 26th August letter stands withdrawn and Team AIM effort is successful.

We have demanded one more letter stating written informed consent to be taken by the parents before covid 19 V@ccinations.
