$NVDA is currently down -6% in after hours

The stock jumped 7% on the news and continued to ATH's at $343
Initial $MSFT Investment - $3,350,000
Current Position's value - $6,425,000

The Pelosi's have profited over $3MM on this trade (excluding premiums paid for options)

Breaking🚨:

Paul Pelosi Jr., Nancy's son, was an unnamed guest during her tour of Asia & Taiwan

He also is also on the board of Two Lithium Mining Companies, $SXOOF & $ATAO

Asian Countries produce 75%+ of the world's Lithium Batteries
Here is Altair International Corp ($ATAO) describing Pelosi Jr.'s appointment to the board:

"His focus will be on Altair’s corporate mission developing strategic partnerships with other companies in the lithium mining and related sectors."
The details are scarce on why Paul Pelosi Jr. accompanied his mother on a pure diplomatic visit.

For some reason he was not listed as an official guest of Pelosi on her website.

In response to Pelosi's visit to Taiwan last week, Apple has warned suppliers that some iPhone parts may face delays.

As a reminder, Pelosi sold part of her $AAPL stake back on 6/17/22.
"The company (Apple) recently told manufacturers on the island that parts bound for the mainland must list “Chinese Taipei” or “Taiwan, China” as their source."

By doing this, their shipments comply with Chinese policies and therefore do not face further delays.
This is not the first time Apple has complied with the Chinese Populist Party Requests.

Back in 2019, they removed the "Taiwan flag emoji" for residents in Hong Kong during the 2019 protests

Speaker Pelosi just sold 25,000 shares of $NVDA for an average price of $165.05 on 7/26/22

This is the first time Pelosi has ever reported a trade the same day say she made it

On the filing she commented: "for a total loss of $341,365" on the filing.

BREAKING: "The Senate voted 64-32 Tuesday to advance a roughly $280B package to boost funding for domestic chip production"

The $280B total is about 5x the $52B amount previously shared by media outlets

Breakdown of the $280B package includes:
- $53B for CHIP manufacturing

- 25% tax credit for investments in manufacturing equipment ~$24B

- $1.5B for development of software
- $11B for the Department of Commerce to create 20 "regional technology hubs"

All while a $52B CHIPS act has been stalled in Congress.

Yesterday Pelosi states, "We are determined that we will pass a bill" before congress heads to August recess.

$NVDA stock jumps 4% on the news.
Timeline of events:
7/23/21 - Buys $NVDA LEAPS

3/28/22 - $52B CHIP act initially passes but stalls out

6/17/22 - Pelosi buys $5M worth of $NVDA stock

7/14/22 - Pelosi comes out saying the bill needs to get passed ASAP
What is the CHIP act? - A $52 Billion dollar bill to incentivize chip manufacturers to invest and produce their chips in the USA.

Why is it important? - The US Chip manufacturing market share has eroded from 37% in 1990 to 12% in 2021.
