JUST IN: The court has unsealed the more detailed inventory of what was taken from Mar-a-Lago. It’s not very enlightening except it shows in more detail how items marked as highly classified records were commingled with personal items like clothes, books and news articles ImageImageImageImage
The inventory is accompanied by a three-page status report on the DOJ review of the items, most of which has come out in prior filings and at yesterday’s hearing. ImageImageImage

One thing we can tell from this: the Stone clemency and info about the president of France break down to thee records: one marked secret and two unclassified. ImageImage
MORE: The classified records retrieved from the leatherbound box in Trump’s office — shown in the photo earlier this week — were found alongside 99 news clippings, 69 unclassified records, 43 empty folders marked classified, and 28 empty ‘return to staff secretary/military aide’ ImageImage

JUST IN: Judge Nichols has *denied* Steve Bannon’s motions for a new trial and a dismissal of the contempt of Congress case against him. Image
Bannon’s motion to dismiss was based largely on a claim that because members of the Jan. 6 committee didn’t testify, he wasn’t able to cross examine key witnesses. But Nichols said there was nothing relevant he wanted to ask them that wasn’t already in evidence. ImageImage
This is all a precursor to Bannon’s inevitable appeal, which his lawyers have been preparing for since well before trial. They contended the judge gutted their defense when he barred large swaths of their argument, citing DC Circuit precedent on ‘willfulness.’

HAPPENING NOW: Judge Mehta abotu to deliver sentence for Thomas Webster, a former NYPD office who assaulted a police officer at the Capitol on Jan. 6

DOJ seeking 17.5 years, the stiffest sentence it has asked for yet.
MEHTA: "We have here in court today somebody who served this country, who served the people of New York and ... in 46 seconds threw all of that away."
MEHTA: "No one should be grateful that Thomas Webster is sitting here acing a 17.5 year sentence. No one should think, well y ou know, ‘serves him right for believing the stuff he believed.’ He was an everyday American... looking at an extraordinary amount of time in jail."

Judge Cannon said she might carve out an exception to allow ODNI review to continue.
