Here is a quick summary of the “consent to sex is not consent to pregnancy” argument that we hear abortion advocates repeat ad nauseam:

First off, they aren’t bright, they’re confusing CONSENT with ASSENT.

Secondly, consent is a two-party transaction. If one party is not capable of giving or receiving consent, you don’t get to do whatever you want to them anyway.

An equivalent scenario to drive this point home would be if Brock Turner, remember him? If he told the judge “well she didn’t say no.”

This is not excuse or a license to infringe on the bodily autonomy of another living human.

If bodily autonomy is a basic human right, then it must logically apply to ALL living humans. Otherwise you are a MASSIVE hypocrite who only wants to dehumanize certain people so you can feel ok about harming or killing them. And we’ve seen that happen throughout history.

In the year of 2022, the means to prevent an unwanted pregnancy are many. And they’re simple. Over 99% effective.

You all know how babies are made, so let’s stop pretending to be stupid about what a woman is pregnant with, bc it won’t fly with me anymore. You’re not that dumb.
