Let's talk about suicide. 🧵 1
Last night I was, once again, piled on by an angry, threatening mob of TRAs for expressing GC views online. Their refrains are familiar. According to them, people like me are "literally" responsible for people allegedly dying of suicide in droves.
2/ Their delusion that GCs pose an actual threat to anyone is dangerously used to justify all kinds of threats against us. This ought to be worrying to any sane person. The alarmism about suicide is also grossly, negligently misguided & needs to be cleared up.
3/ So allow me to introduce myself. Unlike 99% of my critics, suicide prevention has been an actual part of my job description for the past 10 years. I know a thing or two about it. My job is to help ALL people avoid such a fate. I don't want ANYONE to die of mental illness.
4/ It's not in my nature nor is it ethical to boast about talking people off the ledge. Suicide is far too solemn a topic for any individual's ego to get wrapped up in. But just so we're clear on context, I've helped numerous people emerge from deep, suicidal depression.
5/ As a mental health professional, helping people to not die of suicide is every bit as much my job as helping people not die of heart attacks is the job of a cardiologist. I take it very seriously. I have abundant experience, training & additional research into the subject.
6/This is why I felt it was my duty to understand the narratives & statistics regarding suicide risk in a rapidly growing population, & the outcomes of treatment methods.
I emerged as gender critical only after, & because of, having investigated it with appropriate seriousness.
7/ If TRAs cared about suicide half as much as they claim to, they wouldn't be so glib in what they allege & what they dismiss. Maybe they'd take a moment to consider HOW a formerly affirming therapist in one of the US' most liberal cities came to arrive at the conclusions I did.
8/ I care about the suicide risk of today's youth more than TRAs do.
In my 10 years as a therapist I've never seen such a - pardon my language - clusterf*ck of suicide risk factors as I do in the population of victims of gender medicine (VOGM). It worries me tremendously.
9/ When so many of today's VOGM are yesterday's TRAs & these numbers grow exponentially, how could I see it any differently? Even the people who think I'm their worst enemy might need my help a year from now when they suffer transition regret.
10/ In the near future, a news report from a major publication will be airing, in which I explain suicide risk & protective factors in greater depth, & why I'm so concerned that the very people claiming "gender affirming care saves lives" will be the most at risk post transing.
Adding to this thread another valuable thread on suicide.

I’m about to say something that’s going to sound like a crazy conspiracy theory.

It’s about mastectomies and stem cells and biotechnology and this beating heart tissue in a lab.

🧵
I just keep wondering what Planned Parenthood and Kaiser and all these companies that remove healthy mammary gland tissues are doing with those tissues.

And I am just not fully assured that all of it is being disposed of as worthless biohazard hospital waste.
Seeing this image of beating human heart tissue in a Petri dish, grown from stem cells —

It’s things like this that make me wonder.

Do you know about Bill Gates’ investment in lab-synthesized breast milk?

In honor of #ROGDAwarenessDay I'm excited to announce a new resource for concerned parents of trans-identified youth: ROGD Repair, a Course + Community for Parents.
Looking for answers beyond affirmation — and a way to actually get through to your child?
rogdrepair.com
ROGD Repair is an interactive and ever-expanding toolkit of psychology concepts and communication skills curated specifically for parents like you, based on what has actually worked for my clients who were desperate to improve their relationships and save their kids.
ROGD Repair is designed based on my theory of the Trifecta of Social Contagion: that gender ideology operates, not in isolation, but in a perfect storm, along with powerful narratives about social justice (ie., wokeness), and Cluster B personality traits (eg., narcissism).

Please drop links here to examples of Cluster B traits & behaviors amongst trans influencers, especially in videos. Histrionic, borderline, narcissistic, and antisocial behaviors may include grandiosity, attention-seeking, lack of empathy, entitlement, & emotional instability.
To start us off, for example, here's Dylan Mulvaney's grand reveal after his facial feminization surgery, a perfect display of histrionic narcissism without uttering a word.

Men: if you get flummoxed when your wife or girlfriend is upset, here's a simple formula that provides the building blocks for a response that might help things go better than you’re accustomed to.

1: Pull her close
2: Validate her emotions
3: Take action to solve the problem
1: Pull her close. Start with eye contact, body language, & touch to show her you're present & paying attention. Learn what kind of touch is most effective for her. Many women crave a warm, strong, emphatic embrace that cuts through the clouds like a bold ray of sunshine.
Exceptions: women who are neurodivergent, have severe trauma histories, or have been unhappy at home for a long time, may not respond well to touch. Moms who are breastfeeding or burnt out may recoil at more touch. Determine whether it's situational or characteristic.

Something we don't discuss often enough when debunking the faux psychology used to uphold gender ideology: the premise that one can easily predict how they will feel in the future, after something happens that has never happened to them before.

This'll require explanation... 🧵
To start: vulnerable young people pushing to be affirmed, transitioned, & medicalized are often fraught with depression + anxiety, but assert with uncanny certainty that when they receive that next step they're begging for, they'll feel better — as if they can actually know this.
This comes up all the time. It comes up in the conversations I have daily with distraught parents. It came up just now as I was listening to @Miriam_Grossman's "Lost in Trans Nation" — a story of a miserable boy who insisted he'd be happier if only he had feminine curves.
