The Evmos testnet was upgraded on 2022-04-06 (this past Wednesday), and has been chugging along smoothly since then.

We're working on applying the learnings from this upgrade to mainnet. It's full steam ahead!
How to use the Evmos Testnet ๐Ÿ‘‡

2โƒฃ Toggle the "Testnets" option
3โƒฃ Add the Evmos Testnet (ChainID: 9000) to MetaMask

Mainnet relaunch is coming with a fully integrated and feature-complete dashboard

Youโ€™ll be able to delegate, stake, vote on proposals, recover locked funds, and use Metamask with Ledger

Ledger users will have a way to claim with Keplr too!

Weโ€™re upgrading the testnet with fixes for launch issues this week and taking the next 1-2 weeks to test thoroughly, giving partners time to test their deployments as well

If all goes well, mainnet will launch about a week after that; likely 2nd week of April

Hey Everyone, we really appreciate your patience as we work diligently to fix the existing issues with the airdrop claim for ledger + @keplrwallet users. It is not our intention to exclude these users and here's a quick ๐Ÿงต on what happened and how we are bringing you a solution๐Ÿ‘‡
First: The Problem

While most all cosmos chains have historically used the same Cosmos key type, Evmos uses the Ethereum key type to stay compatible with the ETH tooling that you know and love (MetaMask, Remix IDE, Truffle, Hardhat, etc.)
This results in a different address being generated than would be generated had Evmos used the Cosmos key type.

Notice how the string <prefix1>dtwarh8... is the same for both Cosmos Hub and Osmosis addresses, but NOT for Evmos? This is the result of using different key types.
