UA forces aren't bypassing Shevchenkove. They're going for the real target: one rail line supplying all RU trucks south of Shevchenkove.
It's no different than blowing up bridges in Kherson. UA is just hitting isolated supply line with ground troops instead of HIMARS.

RU's movement of troops to southern front made this possible. RU line facing toward southeast Kharkiv was thin+undersupplied. All UA had to do was hit fast+hard.
RU depends heavily on rail, and this was an easy spot to collapse RU line facing southeast Kharkiv.
