1) Since I am often asked about russian speakers in Ukraine and often have the wrong idea about it, I will tell you:
2) There is no Russian-speaking ethnic minority in Ukraine. Previously, all of Ukraine spoke Ukrainian. During the occupation, Russia killed and imprisoned those who had Ukrainian books, Ukrainian writers and poets, teachers, closed Ukrainian schools
3) and banned the Ukrainian language at all levels. Here is a brief chronology of bans and destruction of the Ukrainian language:
A table that shows completely identical words in all Slavic languages and only in the russian language this word is not even remotely similar to Slavic languages. And there are many such tables that prove that russians are not Slavs. I will publish a part in the comments)
1. The first Ukrainian words of the Ukrainian language were written down in 448 AD (then the Byzantine historian Pris Paniyskyi) was on the territory of Ukraine in Attila's camp and wrote down words from the language spoken by the local population.
2. Unlike other Slavic languages, nouns in Ukrainian have 7 cases. The language is distinguished by the vocative case, which still exists in Latin, Greek and Sanskrit.
1) Long before the attack on Ukraine, the Russians showed their aggressive attitudes towards Ukraine:
2) 1. Russian propaganda called all Ukrainian heroes who fought for the independence of Ukraine fascists. It sounded especially funny when the Russians called the fighters against Nazism Nazis.
3) 2. Russian propaganda said that the word Ukraine comes from the Russian word "okraina" (in russian, this word means a part of unimportant territories near something important), although the word Ukraine existed even before the emergence of the russian language
A brief history of the presidents of Ukraine and what they did good and bad:
1. Leonid Kravchuk (communist)
BAD: gave nuclear weapons to Ukraine and destroyed the Ukrainian army
GOOD: built the first state institutions of Ukraine, he left the post of president early
2. Leonid Kucma
BAD: Created Ukrainian oligarchs from mafia clans and brought them to power, began killing journalists who spoke the truth, killed his political opponents (in particular Vyacheslav Chornovol, who could become the first democratic president of Ukraine),
1/5 When I was in the 1st year of university, I remembered a funny story with a foreigner :) My friends and I were on the High Castle - this is a mountain in Lviv, from which the whole of Lviv can be seen. On the way to the mountain there are many large parks
2/5 with beautiful nature, school, stadiums and many other things. The main exit to the mountain is from the city center, but there is a path to the train station and the station from the other side. It was much closer to our home from there,
3/5 so we looked for it but forgot where it is :) And then a foreign tourist approaches me and asks in English how to get to the same railway station we were looking for.
