My daughter named her new pet, Sir David Stickenborough, after her hero. She wrote to tell him this. Obviously he responded. Sir David is getting renamed, apparently, but my daughter’s fascination with nature has been reinforced. #NationalTreasure

As this got much more attention than I expected, it’s my duty as a father to tell you that my other daughter has a pet too. Introducing Pumpkin 🎃

Thanks for all your comments. My daughters are very excited and thankful for everyone’s interest in their pets. I have nothing to promote, but the real Sir David’s new documentary, Frozen Planet II, premieres in the UK tonight. Watch that.
