1. Well this is the weekend organized by Marcus Ray where the brain trusts of the movement are getting together to strategize.

Among those there include Elliot Mcdavid who talks about owning a number of weapons "all over the place" and challenges the government to "bring it on."
2. But I'm getting ahead of myself.

Over the past week individuals drawn by Marcus Ray to central Manitoba have been making their way to the location including this person. ImageImageImageImage
3. Prior to his arrival he was asking for help as his RV seems to have broken down.

I suspect others will have a similar story; made fearful of claims of a tyrannical government that doesn't exist and financially struggling because they have believed gifters' lies.
4. Yesterday some of the people who have been involved in what they refer to as the "freedom movement" and who have participated in the #OttawaOccupation, border shut-downs including Coutts, and other similar events met to talk about their stories.
5. Claims that "we are the law of the land" will predominate during these discussions in one form or another which makes sense since (a) they don't seem to believe the laws of Canada apply to them and (b) there is a significant sovcit atmosphere to put it mildly.
6. We have two people from Prince George who claim to be doing this "for their grandchildren" etc.
7. Interestingly, he notes that they are only making assumption about what may or may not happen and have no real proof other than their feelings, but that they need a date to do something when they "won't take any more."
8. You will also hear a lot of inflated numbers about convoys and the #OttawaOccupation. Here they talk about a campaign of harassment targeting political figures and health professionals. Elliot and "Reddog" Mcdavid get special shoutouts.
9. Stating that they are creating Gideon's Army, he talks about the price of fuel being draconian indicating he doesn't understand how capitalism works (to be sure, he almost certainly thinks he hates socialism) or the meaning of "draconian."
10. In fact one of the other themes appears to be Christian Nationalism as there will be numerous references to God as a guiding hand for themselves, whom they think of as righteous warriors, as well as the nation.
11. Doug Force who is the person behind the sovcit project "The Myth is Canada" notes that he will be speaking at the main event tomorrow (now today) and says he is willing to speak about what he believes are solutions at anyone's event.
12. In an earlier thread I wrote about the obvious influence that "The Myth is Canada" woo has had on the lead up to this weekend.

13. For more information please take a look at this article as well.

14. Now we get interesting.

Alex seems to have been a key figure in Coutts. He was also involved in an incident in Edmonton involving a fence at a church. Here he talks about an arrest story and suggests how to deal with similar incidents.

Surround jails and police stations.
15. "We should have held the line in Ottawa too."
16. Someone asks about the 4 arrested on weapons and conspiracy charges. The consensus is they are political prisoners and once harvest is over the jails will be surrounded until they are released.
17. Here is some more recent information about the arrests at the Coutts border.

cbc.ca/news/canada/ca…
18. They talk about pastors being arrested whom they appear to suggest should be above the law (Elliot Mcdavid pipes up about destroying the moral fabric of the country). They also say even if the Coutts 4 are guilty, they should be released until trial.
19. The rational being that other dangerous people have received bail.

Mcdavid claims that the many who kidnapped the young girl in Edmonton and brought her the the United States received bail.
20. You will not be surprised to learn that nothing Elliot Mcdavid claimed is true.

cbc.ca/news/canada/ed…
21. The guns.

Claiming the government is after your guns, we hear a lot of people saying if the gov't takes theirs, they will get more. Mcdavid suggests he has guns all over and says "bring it on" when he claims his region of Alberta is the most armed in the country.
22. It wouldn't be a "love and peace, we love everyone because we are patriots" event without a swipe at and mockery of the LGBTQ+ community.
23. Elliot's brother Reddog is up and talking about Pat King organizing out of Edmonton. He was also at Coutts and talks here about using children for propaganda purposes.

So when they talk about "bouncy castles" think of this as well.
24. Now he talks about traveling to this event with friends including one named Pat.

Uhm..... which Pat would that be because there is definitely a Pat we all know who would get in a WHOLE lot of trouble for being there.
25. I mean, I'm not saying it is the same Pat, but I would suggest that perhaps someone might want to check in on Pat's surety just to be sure.

cbc.ca/news/canada/ot…
26. Reddog finishes with a stream of conspiracies including claims politicians are pedophiles, 5G is killing people, flouride is destroying your teeth, etc.

Also, and in news that will probably surprise no one, it would also appear that "Reddog" Mcdavid is also a flat Eather.
27. One of the reasons why the events of the weekend changed is because surrounding RCMP and police stations was a deal breaker for some, but it seems that the desire to do so remains.
28. Elliot Mcdavid gets to speak now (he will dominate much of the next 20 minutes) where he begins by telling his Coutts story.

Surprise surprise, he is the hero.
29. Alex disputes that it was the Emergencies Act that caused them to leave Coutts where he was willing to stay "forever." No, it was that when the weapons were, as he suggests, planted, that they lost public support.
30. Their characterization of camping once they left Coutts doesn't seem at all fun.

Like, not even a little bit.
31. More vaccine disinformation and urging people to run for municipal office and school boards.

They also go into their anti-msm spiel.
32. Comparing him to Don Cherry (but in a good way... which is really a bad way) Elliot Macdavid gets to relive his triumph of a couple of weeks ago when he stood over someone 5'2" shouting misogynistic slurs.

He really gets into it here to the pleasure of the audience.
33. As noted in another thread, it shouldn't be a surprise that Mcdavid and others like him think all Canadians support what he did when he only surrounds himself with people who will praise his boorish behaviour.
34. We have more talk of blockades, this time to allow oil workers to enter into proposed protected wildlife preserves because these folks know the only reason to protect endangered caribou is to screw over Albertans.

I mean, that's really their story.
35. This fella goes into the pseudo-medial woo claiming ivermectin is proven to save people's lives from Covid (it doesn't) even though they at the same time don't believe Covid exists. Also, the quack doctors who promote it are life savers (also, they are not).
36. With that in mind, there will be another brief mention of this doctor in the next clip.

cbc.ca/news/canada/ed…
37. This man claims that Daniel Nagase is now working for his group, the People of the Salmon' as their chief prosecutor.
38. It is at this point I shall introduce you to this particular group of sovcit conspiracy proponents.

thestar.com/news/canada/20….
39. This is a long clip so you might not watch it all but it does really go deep into the minds of people who really do believe the sovcit woo.
40. For further information I would urge you to read Donald Netolitzky's articles.

41. So, that was Friday.

I haven't done much digging for what has occurred today but if I decide to do a thread on that it will be tomorrow.

1. By now I'm guessing that most of my Twitter followers are aware of the most recent threats against Trudeau and the subsequent of a suspect. I think there is an even more important story though related to the poisonous influence of social media

toronto.ctvnews.ca/rcmp-arrest-ma…
2. Dawid Zalewski was arrested for making death threats against the Prime Minister. The following video was posted to his second Facebook profile. Be warned that it may be triggering as it promotes graphic violence against the PM and others.
3. Zalewski is clearly not well, but I think would be wrong to dismissively call him "crazy" move on without further examination. There is a reason why he got to this point and I believe we can learn a great deal from his social media footprint.

1. I’ve been enjoying my summer break and have not been paying a lick of attention to the Olympics. Until today however since Twitter has collectively lost the plot.
2. Earlier boxer Imane Khelif defeated her Italian opponent in the first round when Angela Carini quit after 45 seconds stating that she had never been hit so hard.

To be fair, I don’t enjoy being punched in the face either so I can at least sympathize with Carini.
3. Now a preliminary fight would never be important enough to make international news under normal circumstances however we are, as the saying goes, living in interesting times.

1. Given what is happening in Jasper, these all seem to be especially relevant.

1. Stephen Yaxley-Lennon (aka Tommy Robinson) was arrested in Calgary on an immigration warrant apparently. He may have since been released, though he has to turn in his passport and remain in southern Alberta.

I'd prefer that he be kicked out immediately.
2. Despite claiming to have been a "political prisoner" many of Yaxley-Lennon's criminal convictions his Islamophobic "activism" and a number of convictions since have had nothing to do with his political views.
3. In 2005, he was convicted assaulting a police officer who intervened during an argument Yaxley-Lennon was having with his then girlfriend.

1/ It's been a while since I've done a thread here, but the recent focus on Pat King got me to wondering what was up with his own Salacious Crumb, Tyson "Freedom George" Billings.

cbc.ca/news/canada/ot…
Image
2/ Last time I looked at Billings he was a part of the efforts to set up a permenant camp outside Ottawa so there could be daily protests, though the original plan involved surrounding the police and arresting politicians.

Suffice to say it didn't go anywhere.
3/ Billings and Ron Clark soon headed home, but they both soon got involved in other protests including the anti-carbon tax protests occurring in the province. The numbers at these events have been small but that hasn't stopped from politicians from courting the fringes it seems. Image

1/ Though I'm not especially active these days, I'm still sometimes gobsmacked by some of the ridiculous (though sadly effective) rage farming by some on the right. Harrison Faulkner of "True North" is just a recent example of that. Image
2/ So a bit of background. Musical artist Karan Aujla won the 2024 TikTok Juno Fan Choice Award at the award ceremony this past weekend.

I think it was this weekend. Truth be told I don't pay a lot of attention to awards shows.

3/ It should be noted that Aujla has been in Canada for years emigrating as an orphan. He graduated from high school in Canada. The album was produced by a Canadian on a Canadian label.

He has made his home here.
