The is going to be a very tough day for our country.
The first sight of the Queen’s coffin.
#QueenElizabeth
In the car following the Hearse is the Queen's daughter Princess Anne and her husband Sir Tim Laurence.
Anne is a formidable person, but this six hour journey behind the Queen’s coffin would challenge the resolve of anyone.

10:23am, the Queen’s coffin passes through her local village of Ballater.
Our colleague @PeterAdamSmith was told yesterday: “The country has lost a Monarch, we have lost a neighbour”.

That was a speech which matched the magnitude of the occasion.

Immediately the King makes his son William, the Prince of Wales - and Catherine, the Princess of Wales. Wasting no time bestowing that title on his son and heir. Image

Meghan on forgiving the Royals, Harry “losing” his father, her new podcast, and what about the ‘At-Home-With-The-Sussexes’ Netflix series?? (she doesn’t give anything away)
READ: itv.com/news/2022-08-2…
Meghan said if she had stayed in the Royal Family, she’d have 40 photographers taking pictures when she did Archie’s school run.
But not what happens: William & Kate take and pick up George/Charlotte without any cameras.
thecut.com/article/meghan…
The only time cameras allowed for school run is on the first day at school. The only 2 cameras are permitted (one TV, one photo) who agree to share footage with other broadcasters and publications.
Is simply wrong for #meghan to claim there would be “40 people snapping pictures”

NEW: Prince William has personally given @bowelbabe her Damehood this afternoon.
He travelled to the family home in Surrey where Deborah James is receiving hospice care.
Her family have released these photos.
Deborah said: “Prince William actually came to our family house today!! I am utterly honoured that he joined us for afternoon tea and champagne, where he not only spent a generous amount of time talking to my whole family but also honoured me with my Damehood.”
The message from @bowelbabe went on: “It’s quite surreal having a royal pop in at home, and yes you can imagine the cleaning antics and preparation went off the scale - but it was all irrelevant because William was so kind and he put us all at ease.”
