Despite the dynamics and parallels of the cast with each other being one of the main talking points in fata there's two specific characters that I never see being brought up together. So I wanted to share some of my thoughts about them #fata #fatamoru ImageImage
Even though they have only a handful of interactions between each other in the entire series I believe they have some strong connections that is shown throughout it and how it ties to their main relationships in the story and the characters revolved around them.
Giselle and Jacopo work in being the main bridge to Michel and morgana respectively, while the similarities between Michel and morgana are very clear cut, Giselle and jacopo share some key aspects too, both in their characters and parts of their journey.
Both act as direct opposites of Michel and morgana, two people who are very closed off because of their past who at first act extremely defensive of themselves towards those two, meanwhile Giselle and jacopo are energetic and open people, trying to connect with them.
Despite the way they become closer to each other happening in different circumstances, the story highlights how deep they connect with those two. To both Michel and morgana Giselle and jacopo act as a beacon of hope for them, creating fleeting, but bright moments of happiness.
After their constant attempts to get through their walls they change how morgana and Michel see the world, making them more open with themselves and despite not sharing everything that happened in their past, they're able to find some closure with them.
However those moments they managed to have for themselves is snatched from them, by the "death" of their loved ones, sending them into a spiral of eventual loss of identity. Giselle accepts morgana's proposals of becoming her helper and jacopo embraces his "lineage".
Both willingly send themselves down a path, one of complete uncertainty, but driven by grief and regret of their powerlessness they try to change things, Giselle and jacopo by sending themselves down this path end up losing any remaining parts of their old selves.
The happy and energetic young girl becomes the cold and lifeless Maid of the mansion, and jacopo's drive to have more power leads him to becoming the lord and eventually into a simple shade lamenting his mistakes. Both eternally awaiting something.
The way both Giselle's and jacopo's downfall is portrayed is similar in how they both end up not only slowly losing themselves, but also forgetting bit by bit their past and what they once were, basically splitting their old selves from who they are now.
And after the events of door 5 and requiem for those characters, the story simply progresses with their broken selves awaiting for their loved ones, one to be reunited with them and the other to repent for his mistakes.
And both in this eternal prison within the mansion meet each other a single time, in a minor, but still meaningful moment for themselves.

"Lost" highlights fully this connection between them. ImageImage
A prisoner and a sinner, but also two very lost souls, who once were happy and bright young people, having a heart to heart moment with each other. Until it's all once again faded by time, Gisele and jacopo both represented light for Michel and morgana, until they lost themselves Image
And by the end of it all they're able to once again recover themselves, the two characters who both represented a salvation to those who were lost and thrown into the same state are able to fully reclaim themselves once more, by the hands of those they loved. ImageImage
Despite having mostly distinct arcs and having little to no interaction with each other, jacopo and Giselle highlight a important core of fata morgana, to have a hopeful view of the world despite the circumstances and try to see beneath the surface of those you care.
By ultimately following that, they were once able to create a lasting impact on the people around them for a thousand years.

Even though there's a lot regarding morgana's conclusion in reincarnation, there is one aspect that surrounds it that made it my absolute favorite conclusion for her character compared to THIFM and requiem. So I'll make a more general thread about it #fata #fatamoru Image
Every ending for each game brings a conclusion to one aspect of her, in the OG game I believe it's regarding her identity and hatred. As repeated throughout the story morgana solidified herself as the witch of the mansion eternally cursing the 3 men.
However by intervention of michel and Giselle this is slowly undone and morgana, through the death of the WHG, is able to slowly let go of her hatred and curse. She still bears the scars of her past, however she tries to move on and maybe start a new life.

The way morgana's curse presents itself in d1-3 is very interesting and unique and lays bare a lot of the story's themes, but it also presents a rather different perspective compared to the 5th door, so I want to make a thread about it #fata #fatamoru Image
This thread will mostly be a follow up to this other one I made, but focusing in a difference in narrative within d1-3 and d5, so you should read that one to have a better understanding of this
As I previously talked about in my other thread, the story especially in d1-3 serves as a interesting criticism to each of the main characters of it and their lack of empathy, but this criticism of sorts runs deeper than just their actions within it

One of my favorite aspects of fata is how the characters are shaped by their surroundings and the people they interact with, so I wanted to make a thread about this theme and how its portrayed in d1-4 and why the end of d4 is my favorite twist ever #fata #fatamoru spoilers bellow Image
the story always portrays certain characters to be using a "mask" when taking and interacting with others, this theme of characters taking a different identity for themselves is very prevalent throughout the story, but it's used in a very interesting way in d1-4
One aspect that should be heavily taken in consideration about those doors is that they're affected by morgana's curse. Every minor detail is being manipulated and controlled by her and I believe this reflects on some of the story's major themes; the importance of communication
