The forgotten starvation of the ordinary: Bengal Famine during the British regime.
One of the worst phenomena of Indian history is the Bengal Famine. Lasting one year(1943-1944), it has cost over three million deaths & couple million more pushed into poverty.

Many researchers disagree with Britten's explanation of this famine. Their study shows that this atrocity is caused by the barbaric policies of Winston Churchill, the prime minister of Britten at that time. Image
To this day, London has noted the causes of the famine as weather conditions and food shortage - indirectly claiming it was an inevitable catastrophe. Image
But research shows that it was precipitated by intentional inflation by the #britishroyalfamily whilst also being ignorant about the famine. Image
Economist Utsa Patnaik's work reflects that Churchill implemented a barbaric policy to exploit the colony. They printed more money to decrease the value & caused massive inflation in the subcontinent. The price of rice raised by 300%. Image
As the poor Indian's income didn't increase, their per capita consumption of food grains collapsed from 210 kilograms per year in the early 1900s down to 157 kilograms per year by the end of the 1930s. Image
The #britishroyalfamily then used their exploited resources towards the military for the ongoing #WorldWar2.
