Olivia Newton-John fans have been left disappointed by last night's Emmys after the star was left out of its In Memoriam tribute (Thread 🧵)

The segment honours actors, directors, producers and other individuals in the entertainment industry who have passed away since last year’s ceremony

This year's segment honoured a number of stars including Betty White, Sidney Poitier, and Nichelle Nichols

But a star was missing from last night's tribute ⭐️

Dame Olivia was best known for the role of Sandy in the movie adaptation of hit musical Grease. Her song with John Travolta , You're the One That I Want, became a number one hit

Many fans took to Twitter to express their upset that Olivia was not included, with one writing: 💬
"Hey Emmys, that was a beautiful In Memoriam tribute, but you left out Olivia Newton-John. #Emmys2022." 💬

While the star is in the In Memoriam database on the Emmys website, she was not featured in the televised segment

Tom Parker's funeral is taking place today, and in emotional scenes, The Wanted fans created a tree-lined procession through Petts Wood and around Queensway, South East London where the private service was held.

The star's wife Kelsey Hardwick asked that flowers were not sent to the funeral service as the family had plans to arrange their own, and beautiful flora and fauna were revealed instead.
