California's antitrust case against Amazon feels anachronistic, like a witchcraft charge, or some other ancient crime that we no longer prosecute. It's true, antitrust spent 40 year in a coma! The Amazon case neatly illustrates how it was sedated, and why it finally roused. 1/

This is my first tour since the pandemic hit; I had four (!) book releases during the first year of the lockdown and did a slew of online events. In some ways, these were amazing: I could do a UK event in the morning and a US event in the evening. 3/
