@afreedma @ProjectDrawdown @GlobalEcoGuy @Allbirds .@GlobalEcoGuy: "Interestingly, the Inflation Reduction Act is actually pretty small compared to what the private sector's already doing on climate solutions." Image
@afreedma @ProjectDrawdown @GlobalEcoGuy @Allbirds .@GlobalEcoGuy: "We all know that climate change is a serious threat, not just to nature, but to business, to the economy...there are really going to be two kinds of businesses in the future: the ones who take climate change seriously and the ones who aren't here anymore." Image
@afreedma @ProjectDrawdown @GlobalEcoGuy @Allbirds Hana Kajimura: "So this year we're aiming for a 6% reduction in our carbon footprint, and our employee bonuses are tied to that number. The bonus is one thing, but the other big part of it is making sure that we have corporate top level KPIs around that carbon goal..." Image
.@ProjectDrawdown Executive Director @GlobalEcoGuy: “Let's figure out who’s taking this seriously, who’s not just cleaning up the mess they created, but who’s actually producing the solutions that we need for this 21st century world where we stop climate change.” #AxiosEvents

The most recent decline can be linked directly to the increase in the child tax credit that was implemented in July 2021 but then expired at the end of that year — which means that next year's number is likely to see a rare increase. axios.com/2022/09/14/chi… Line graph showing the numb...

Chinese authorities have taken DNA samples from as much as 1/3 of Tibet's population since June 2016, according to a new report published by Citizen Lab.

Earlier this month, Human Rights Watch also released a separate report saying it found evidence of arbitrary DNA collection in Tibet — including from children at kindergartens, and that residents had no ability to refuse giving samples. Illustration of a DNA strand in a manilla folder

Schools punished students and intimidated parents for speaking Spanish. The discrimination resulted in language loss and accent marks becoming a "sign of shame." Illustration of a letter n ...
Technological barriers have also kept many people from using accent marks and symbols.

Early computer programmers didn't consider non-English letters and symbols when developing keyboards and computer systems.
