Today @USDOT @SecretaryPete @GSACarnahan and @alizaidi46 announced new actions under its Federal #BuyClean Initiative to spur the development of low-carbon construction materials made in America while supporting good-paying jobs.

These new #BuyClean actions include directing the Federal Government to prioritize, for the first time ever, the purchase of 🇺🇸-made low-carbon steel, glass, concrete and asphalt materials for use in federal and federally-funded construction projects.
These four construction materials account for nearly half of all U.S. manufacturing emissions and represent 98% of the USG’s purchased construction materials.
