Here’s the truth: Brian Kemp is the chief architect of modern day voter suppression. His agenda to decrease access to voting, particularly for voters of color, has been well documented.

Don’t remember? Follow this 🧵 for a summary.
#GeorgiaRemembers in 2010, when Brian Kemp’s office sent armed investigators to intimidate 12 black Georgians, who were charged with 120 felony counts of voter fraud. Brian Kemp’s extremism isn’t anything new. He has always been a voter suppressor.

Georgia has the 5th largest active-duty military population in the U.S. but Brian Kemp’s cruel and dangerous 6-week abortion ban practically eliminates abortion access for our active-duty military. 🧵
Under the current anti-abortion mandate, those seeking abortions are required to undergo counseling and a 24-hour wait period before accessing care. Very few military medical facilities in the country offer abortion services on base, even if the life of the mother is at risk.
This means that for most military personnel, they must leave base and travel in order to access their care. In GA’s case, this means requesting an additional day of leave, and having to pay out of pocket for these expenses.

Gun violence is an epidemic in Georgia and kids across our state are bearing the heartbreaking consequences.

Instead of addressing the crisis, Georgia Republicans have repeatedly taken steps that threaten our communities from increased levels of gun violence.
In 2014, Georgia passed a “Guns Everywhere” law, allowing handguns to be legally permitted in schools, bars, churches and government buildings.

In 2017, Georgia passed Campus Carry that allows gun owners with a license to carry their handguns on public university campuses.
The recent #CriminalCarry signed by Brian Kemp made it easier for criminals to carry a hidden, loaded gun in public without a permit or the standard background check.
