.@fox5dc has been asking @MCPS to confirm coach involvement in last Friday’s Gaithersburg/Northwest HS football game fight. Now my colleague @Mia_FOX5DC’s discovered an assault charge was filed yesterday. *Appears Gburg’s AD filed against NW’s head football coach.

Asking again & asking why @MCPS won’t confirm or answer Q’s around the assault charge, I’m told: “These are personnel investigations and at this moment I do not have all the relevant facts. We will comment with what can be said at an appropriate time.”

Quickly spoke with @1HawkIsland, who confirmed he heard an assault charge was filed against him. Asked both he & @NorthwestJags for a response.

MD Case Search info says there’s a prelim hearing scheduled for November 7th. Told court doc’s won’t be available until then.

When you look at @KeeleySports1's VIDs from last Friday - instagram.com/p/CiniC8ujfPe/ - he notes that a G-burg member could be seen getting hit from behind -- but before that, you also see that same person appear to put hands on someone else. @MCPS still not confirming.

Even that video is a moment captured. The complaint itself doesn’t make clear who is responsible. Hopefully @MCPS can provide some clarity either at tomorrow’s presser or beforehand.
