#RajasthanPoliticalCrisis | Mallikarjun Kharge & I came here as AICC observers to hold a meeting in accordance with CM's convenience at the latter's residence. We were continuously telling the MLAs who didn't come to come & talk one-to-one: AICC observer Ajay Maken
Cong MLAs Pratap Khachariyawas, S Dhariwal & CP Joshi met us, kept 3 demands. One was to announce the implementation of resolution of handing over the responsibility (to appoint CM) to Congress President after Oct 19; we said it'll be a conflict of interest: AICC observer A Maken
If CM Ashok Gehlot becomes Congress chief after Oct 19,he can empower himself over his own resolution. 2nd condition- they wanted to come in groups when we said that we shall talk to everyone individually;we made it clear that this isn't how it works, but they didn't accept: Maken
Third condition was that the CM should be from the 102 MLAs who are loyal to CM Ashok Gehlot, not Sachin Pilot or his group. We said that their exact sentiments will be conveyed to Cong chief, who will take the decision after talking to CM Ashok Gehlot & everyone else: Ajay Maken
They (Cong MLAs) insisted that the resolution be in line with 3 conditions, to which we said that never in the history of Congress has any resolution been passed with strings attached to it & which is conditional. There should be no conflict of interest: AICC observer Ajay Maken
We waited for more MLAs to come, but they didn't. Mallikarjun Kharge & I are going to Delhi to submit our report to Cong chief. No one has any idea about the number & identities of the MLAs who resigned or not. We are hopeful to sit & talk through this to find a solution: A Maken
Correction: Cong MLAs Pratap Khachariyawas, S Dhariwal & Mahesh* Joshi met us, kept 3 demands: AICC observer A Maken

Indian oil refiners continue to source oil from Russian suppliers. Their supply decisions are guided by price, grade of crude, inventories, logistics and other economic factors: Sources to ANI
Russia, the world’s second-largest crude oil producer with an output of around 9.5 mb/d (nearly 10% of global demand), is also the second-largest exporter, shipping about 4.5 mb/d of crude and 2.3 mb/d of refined products. Fears of Russian oil being pushed out of the market and the consequent dislocation of traditional trade flows drove dated Brent crude prices to soar to US $137 per barrel in March 2022: Sources to ANI
Russian oil has never been sanctioned ; instead, it was subjected to a G7/EU price-cap mechanism designed to limit revenue while ensuring global supplies continued to flow. India has acted as a responsible global energy actor, ensuring markets remain liquid and prices stable. India’s purchases have remained fully legitimate and within the framework of international norms: Sources to ANI

ECI rejects Congress allegations about any irregularities in Haryana elections as baseless, misplaced, and devoid of facts. Commission writes to Congress party to refrain from baseless allegations election after election; Calls out the party for raising smoke of ‘generic’ doubts and urges Congress to take firm and concrete steps to curb such a tendency. ECI urges Congress that irresponsible allegations at sensitive junctures like polling and counting days can lead to public unrest, turbulence, and chaos. Citing 5 specific cases in last one year, ECI asks the national party with long-standing experience to exercise due diligence and refrain from habitual attacks on electoral operations, without any evidence.
After a thorough reverification by Returning officers of all the 26 Assembly Constituencies under question, ECI writes to Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge that each step in electoral process in Haryana was flawless and done under the watch of Congress candidates or agents. Response from ECI officials comprises 1642 pages of evidence that authorised representatives of Congress candidates were present at all stages including placing the battery at time of Commissioning and continuously for 7-8 days thereafter till counting was over. Chief Electoral Officer Haryana also rejects all the complaints by Congress party about irregularity in the assembly election.
Rubbishing the completely extraneous talk about status of battery display in EVM, ECI clarified that battery voltage and capacity have no relevance or connection whatsoever for EVMs vote count operations and integrity. The display of the status of battery on Control Unit is solely a feature to assist technical teams in monitoring power levels, ensuring that device functions smoothly throughout polling operations. Any insinuation that battery levels affect voting outcomes is preposterous. Even then, ECI has issued a detailed FAQ on EVM battery, on its website, to address any bonafide queries including different types of battery cells used worldwide, use of alkaline cells in EVMs battery, difference of EVM Power pack from mobile phone battery, functioning of EVM independent of operating voltage and functioning of EVM at different output voltages and Why EVM Power pack status is shown as 99% in some CUs even after full day use in poll, etc.
