To discuss Putin's invasion of Ukraine and the UK’s broader defence strategy we are thrilled to be joined at the Conservative Party by Defence Secretary @BWallaceMP in conversation with broadcaster @IainDaleukonward.com/events/in-conv…
📢New @ukonward polling on the Conservative leadership election in partnership with @JLPartnersPolls.
We looked at current voter intention under prospective candidates. @BorisJohnson and @RishiSunak present the best opportunity to reduce Labour's current lead in the polls [1/4]
On questions of the economy and the cost of living, voters feel @RishiSunak would do best. They also believe he would be best placed to restore integrity and honesty.
On reducing immigration and potential to win the next election, @BorisJohnson leads. [2/4]
On favourability, @BorisJohnson leads on both extremes. He is the candidate most likely to be seen as a 'very good Prime Minister' and the candidate most likely to be seen as a 'very bad Prime Minister'.
What is the future of devolution? How can we empower local government and leaders?
Watch live here:

Evidence devo is as much social as it is economic.
Onward’s latest research, with Public First, examines voters’ attitudes to Net Zero and finds that the Conservatives will pay a heavy political price if they row back on the policy. ukonward.com/reports/taking…
In the context of rising energy costs and the Ukraine crisis, Net Zero remains overwhelmingly popular with the public.
If the Government ditched Net Zero we estimate that it would cost the Conservative Party more than 1.3 million votes.
