"If socialism had not achieved the current success in China, then the practice of socialism might have to wander back into obscurity for a long time, again like a ghost wandering through the world, as Marx said."/6

How did China, in just 7 years, reduce 40% of the air pollution in its big cities? 🧵1/13
From 2013-2020, the amount of harmful particles in the air in China dropped by 40%, according to research by the Energy Policy Institute at the University of Chicago. The figure nearly equaled the 44% reduction that took the US 30 years (1970-2000) to achieve. 2/13 (📷:Xinhua)
Among the reasons for the achievement are restrictions on the use of cars and the burning of coal in major cities.
With the implementation of the action plan in 2013, in just 4 years, the concentration of inhalable particles in large cities decreased from 10% to 25%. 3/13
#1: BRICS matters! 4 out of the world’s 8 biggest economies are members. It offers alternatives to the World Bank & IMF through the New Development Bank & Contingent Reserve Arrangement.
@marcof1871@Jingjing_Li #2: The US Dollar is a weapon of mass destruction. The US has embargoed Cuba for over 60 years, stopping the supply of vital food & medicine. Same with Venezuela. This was achieved by taking them out of SWIFT, limiting access to dollars for trade, & stealing assets. 2/4
@marcof1871@Jingjing_Li #3: There is no Chinese “Debt Trap” in Africa. Chinese-owned debt is only 8% of the total African government debt. The other 92% is mostly owned by Western governments & bankers. Beware of a lie repeated 100 times that becomes the “truth”. 3/4
